3. 1. The PVC composition in general is based on DBP or DOP as the Prime Plasticizer
2. DBP or DOP , a phthalate family , of Plasticizer , has a tendency to Migrate on to
the surface
3. The migrated Plasticizer reacts with The Rubber solvent dissolved adhesive and
kills its property
4. It make the adhesive softer and that is one of the reasons that the Adhesive Start
oozing from the sides

4. I was working on this issue for a long time
I am happy to share with you that , after a prolong R&D we have developed a
WB Modified Acrylic PSA , specially for PVC Insulation Tape.
1. This WBPSA is self cross linkable
2. After cross linking the adhesive is not affected by the migrated plasticizer
3. The Properties of the PSA are retained for a longer period
4. Another advantage of this WBPSA , it is suitably compounded so that the PVC film unwind is very
well controlled and now one can produce Jumbo rolls , just like BOPP Tape
5. This allow you to coat Jumbo Rolls and rewind them into log rolls of your required length , ssay 6.

due to two main modifications in the WB PSA
a) This adhesive cured at 75 deg C
b) Hence the PVC is not exposed to higher temperatures like 110-120 deg C , as per the revealing
Practice
c) This helps a lot in retaining the PVC film properties like Tensile & elongation
d) Hence the Re winding is done at a minimum Tension , which allows easy Rewind
e) Since the WBPSA is x linked it exhibits , very good Water Resistance
f) We took a Coating trial on 15 th Jan 2020 , on our Innovative , Pilot coating and Lamination Mc
