INTRODUCTION

In view of the recent amendment made in the Patents Act, 1970 by the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005
effective from 01st January 2005, the Official Journal of The Patent Office is required to be published under
the Statute. This Journal is being published on weekly basis on every Friday covering the various proceedings
on Patents as required according to the provision of Section 145 of the Patents Act 1970. All the enquiries on
this Official Journal and other information as required by the public should be addressed to the Controller
General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks. Suggestions and comments are requested from all quarters so that
the content can be enriched.

Notice is hereby given that any person at any time before the grant of Patent may give representation by way of
opposition to the Controller of Patents at appropriate office on the ground and in a manner specified under
section 25(1) of the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005 read with Rule 55 of the Patents (Amendment) Rules,
2006.
Notice is also given that if any interested person requests for copies of the complete specification, drawing and
abstract of any application already published, the photocopy of the same can be supplied by the Patent Office as
per the jurisdiction on payment of prescribed fees of Rs.4/- per page. If any further details are required to be
obtained, the same can be provided by the respective Patent Offices on request.

        Under the new provision of the Patents Act, 1970 as amended by the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005
and Rules there under, Publication of the matter relating to Patents in the Official Gazette of India Part III,
Section 2 has been discontinued and instead The Official Journal of the Patent Office is being published
containing all the activities of The Patent Office such as publication of all the patent applications after 18th
months , grant of patents & all other information in respect of the proceedings as required under the provisions
of the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005 and Rules thereunder on weekly basis on every Friday.


The Journal is uploaded in the website every Friday. So Paper form and CD-ROM form of the Journal are
discontinued from 01/01/2009.




                                           SPECIAL NOTICE
Every effort is being taken to publish all the patent applications under section 11(A) of the Patents Act.

However, if duplication of publication of any application is found, then earlier date of publication will be taken

for the purpose of provisional protection for applicant and Patent Office will grant Patent not before six months

(57) Abstract :
An apparatus for manufacturing a wet friction clutch plate is disclosed. The wet friction clutch plate have a core plate and a plurality
of friction material segments adhered to an annular region of the core plate in a circumferential direction, such that a gap is provided
between the consecutive segments. The apparatus comprises of an index table capable of being rotated about the center. The index
table comprises of a plurality of clutch plate holders for securely restraining the core plate such that each clutch plate holder restrain
one core plate. An adhesive placing unit is provided for applying a uniform layer of adhesive on the annular region of the core plate
secured in the cutch plate holder. Further, a cutting and placing unit is provided for cutting a friction material into a plurality of
friction material segments and transferring the plurality of friction material segments arranged in the predefined pattern to the annular
region of the core plate with adhesive in a circumferential direction. A pressing unit is provided for pressing the friction material
segments being placed on the core plate by pneumatic pressure such that the friction material segments rigidly attach to the core plate.

(57) Abstract :
An apparatus for manufacturing a wet friction clutch plate is disclosed. The wet friction clutch plate have a core plate and a plurality
of friction material segments adhered to an annular region of the core plate in a circumferential direction, such that a gap is provided
between the consecutive segments. The apparatus comprises of an index table capable of being rotated about the center. The index
table comprises of a plurality of clutch plate holders for securely restraining the core plate such that each clutch plate holder restrain
one core plate. An adhesive placing unit is provided for applying a uniform layer of adhesive on the annular region of the core plate
secured in the cutch plate holder. Further, a cutting and placing unit is provided for cutting a friction material into a plurality of
friction material segments and transferring the plurality of friction material segments arranged in the predefined pattern to the annular
region of the core plate with adhesive in a circumferential direction. A pressing unit is provided for pressing the friction material
segments being placed on the core plate by pneumatic pressure such that the friction material segments rigidly attach to the core plate.

This multi-layered scaffold could be applicable for tissue engineering/regeneration, drug delivery and wound dressing. This process
may be used for phase-wise delivery of the growth factors which would be suitable for the studies of developmental biology. The
novelty disclosed is the various ratios of the therapeutics/pharmaceuticals like antimicrobial agents, analgesics, antioxidants,
antiallergic, growth factors and/or other signaling molecules like Lysophosphatidic acid (LPA), either in free form or microparticles
encapsulated or combination of both can be taken to formulate the multi-layered porous scaffold with different concentrations of
natural or chemically modified collagen. Microparticles comprise minimum of two types of polymers e.g. gelatin, chitosan, alginate,
casein, PLGA, PCL and multi-layer scaffold contains at least two layers out of which one may be thin film layer without therapeutics,
may act as a protective layer, which is desirable for wound dressing. The multi-layered porous scaffold prepared by homogenous
casting of collagen solution on non-sticky substratum and allowed for semi-dry, similarly, the subsequent collagen layers were
prepared and followed by freeze-dry or air-dry. In case of air-dry, the collagen solution was homogenized with surfactants like triton
X-100. Cross-linking agents e.g. glutaraldehyde can be used to prolong the release of therapeutics. In the current product, therapeutics
may be antibiotic(s) or analgesic(s) of growth factor(s) or any combinations for immediate and sustained/controlled delivery.

place in a heat exchanger through transfer of the heat energy of the process gas to be removed which is then discharged at a lower
temperature to the environment. The preheated fresh gas is fed to the grinding circuit and admixed to the recirculation gas at the
required points, for example as combustion air or via fresh air dampers, before or in the mill.

the discontinuity or impedance irregularity in presence of allowable variation in voltage and/or current flow that may mimic or hide a
discontinuity or impedance irregularity in the active line, neutral return line and/or earth return path including a reverse current flow
through the earth return path. The apparatus further includes means for comparing a result of the measuring with a reference to
provide an indication of the discontinuity or impedance irregularity. A method for detecting a discontinuity or impedance irregularity
in an active line, a neutral return line and/or an earth return path of an electrical power distribution network is also disclosed.

The apparatus further includes means for comparing a result of the measuring with a reference to provide an indication of the discontinuity or impedance irregularity.
