(57) Abstract :
A novel combined graphitized irregular cathode for aluminum comprises body blocks and graphitized cathode stop blocks,
longitudinal edges of the body blocks are symmetrically provided with grooves inside which the graphitized cathode stop blocks,
made of the material different from the body blocks, are inlaid in a manner of bridging over the two body blocks; and the graphitized
cathode stop blocks are prepared from raw materials including: calcined petroleum coke, electrically calcined anthracite, coal pitch,
TiB2 alloy additive and SiC additive. According to the invention, the graphitized cathode stop blocks are inlaid at a junction seam of
the two cathode body blocks in a manner of bridging over the cathode, thus electrode distance of aluminum electrolysis is shortened,
cell voltage is lowered by about 0.35 volts to 0.5 volts, and the energy per ton aluminum can be saved not less than 1000KWh in order
to achieve prominent effect of energy saving and consumption reduction. The invention can not only avoid that grooving in the middle
of the body blocks reduces the effective thickness of the body blocks to further impact on the service life thereof, but can also
implement reinforcement of local structure on the junction seam of the body blocks in order to prolong the service life of electrolytic
cell.

(57) Abstract :
The present invention provides a process for the preparation of nanowires of metal oxides with dopant elements in lower valence state.
The nanomaterials/materials with dopants in lower valence state are important as these exhibit markedly different characteristics than
higher valence state materials of same composition. Nanowires show markedly enhanced properties in lateral direction. The invented
process presents a procedure for preparation of different types of nanowires in oxide form that are useful for different applications. In
this a precursor is ignited in a specially designed container/enclosure that produces the product with the described features. The
process is simple and involves a single step/stage is of very short time per batch. The invention provides a process, which gives
controlled size of nanowires and is suitable for the production of nanowires/nanomaterials of desired metal oxides with dopant
elements in valence state.

A transmission system having an input shaft for receiving/imparting rotation into the transmission system and an output shaft for
delivering rotation from the transmission system, a flywheel component which has a ring gear portion and planet gear portion, wherein
rotation of the input shaft causes rotation of the flywheel component, a first transmission shaft and a first transmission component,
wherein rotation and/or orbital motion of the flywheel component is affected by the rotation or non-rotation of the first transmission
shaft and by the rotation or non-rotation of the first transmission component, a second transmission shaft, wherein the first
transmission component rotates if the second transmission shaft rotates, a second transmission component which rotates if the second
transmission shaft rotates, wherein rotation or non-rotation of the second transmission component and rotation or non-rotation of the
first transmission shaft affect the overall/net output shaft rotation, at least one modulator shaft the rotation or non-rotation of which is
linked with the rotation or non-rotation of one of the transmission shafts, wherein a continuously variable accelerating or retarding
torque can be applied to the modulator to accelerate or retard the rotation of the transmission shaft with which the modulator is linked,
whereby this continuously variable acceleration or retarding of the rotation of the transmission shaft enables continuous variation of
