OF NAVA, HINUNANGAN, SOUTHERN LEYTE, REQUESTING THE PROVINCIAL BOARD
MEMBERS OF SOUTHERN LEYTE, THROUGH HON. GOVERNOR DAMIAN G. MERCADO
TO REALIGN THEIR PROVINCIAL CASH ASSISTANCE’S BUDGET WORTH ₱35,000.00
WHICH WAS DOWNLOADED TO THE BARANGAY LAST FEBRUARY 18, 2013 SUPPOSEDLY
INTENDED FOR THE PURCHASE OF A NEW 10 KVA TWO PHASE TRANSFORMER INTO A

2. CONSTRUCTION OF PERIMETER FENCE IN THE RECIPIENT SCHOOL—NAVA
NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL.
WHEREAS, Nava National High School’s General PTA Officials decided for the request of realigning
the budget worth ₱35,000 for the purchase of 10 KVA Two Phase Transformer into a Perimeter Fence
Project of Nava National High School as viewed to be a prime necessity for students’ security;
WHEREAS, the school received the amount of ₱35,000 as a provincial assistance for the institution’s
purchase of a new 10 KVA Two Phase Transformer, however the allocated budget was not utilized for
it was insufficient and needed supplementary funds to top up the budget;
WHEREAS, last School Year 2018-2019, the school asked for the assistance of the SOLECO regarding
the provision of a new 10 KVA Two Phase Transformer and the school had been granted for free last
February 2019 resulting for the provincial aid to stay unused and unliquidated;
WHEREAS, instead of returning the allocated budget to the Provincial Office, the General PTA
Officers having been informed about this budget, came up in consensus with the decision of realigning
the budget and converting it into another school project that is under the school’s priority areas for
improvement;
WHEREAS, for the following years, the school has an issue on student’s safety due to lack of perimeter
fence in the campus;
WHEREAS, the General PTA Officers saw this problem as a priority that has to be acted upon for it
becomes an excuse for students to cut classes and idle outside the campus during class hours which put
their lives at risk;
WHEREAS; the realignment of the budget from a supposedly purchase of transformer into a
construction of perimeter fence could address the issue about student’s security and school’s
performance;
NOW THEREFORE, on motion of President Nelson L. Mecate, President of General PTA and duly
seconded by Hon. Ronie Tabayag—Brgy kagawad, Educ. Committee Chairperson, BE IT…
RESOLVED as it is hereby resolved to request as it is hereby requested the Provincial Board of
Southern Leyte, through Hon. Governor Damian G. Mercado to realign their provincial assistance’s
budget worth ₱35,000 which was downloaded to the barangay last February 18, 2013 supposedly
intended for the purchase of a new 10 KVA Two Phase Transformer into a construction of perimeter
fence in the recipient school—Nava National High School
RESOLVED FURTHER to furnish the copies of this resolution to the Office of the Provincial Board
members and Office of the Provincial Governor, Province of Southern Leyte for information and
appropriate action.
