Psychotherapies
Psychotherapy, or "talk therapy", is a way to treat people with a mental disorder by helping them understand their illness. It teaches people strategies
and gives them tools to deal with stress and unhealthy thoughts and behaviors. Psychotherapy helps patients manage their symptoms better and function
at their best in everyday life.
Sometimes psychotherapy alone may be the best treatment for a person, depending on the illness and its severity. Other times, psychotherapy is
combined with medications. Therapists work with an individual or families to devise an appropriate treatment plan. (Psychotherapies, n.d.)

It has primarily been utilized as a shortâterm (approximately 16 week) therapy, but has also been modified for use as a maintenance therapy for
patients with recurrent depression. (Interpersonal psychotherapy, 2015)
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) treatment is a cognitiveâbehavioral approach that emphasizes the psychosocial aspects of treatment. The theory
behind the approach is that some people are prone to react in a more intense and outâofâtheâordinary manner toward certain emotional situations,
primarily those found in romantic, family and friend relationships. DBT theory suggests that some people's arousal levels in such situations can
increase far more quickly than the average person's, attain a higher level of emotional stimulation, and take a significant amount of time to return to
baseline arousal levels. (Staff, 2013) People who are sometimes diagnosed with borderline personality disorder experience extreme swings in their
emotions, see the world in blackâandâwhite shades, and seem to always be jumping from one crisis to another. Because few people understand such
reactions â most of all their own family and a childhood that emphasized invalidation â they don't have any methods for coping with these sudden,

2. Christianity On-line Essay
Christianity Onâline
Onâline communities are a foreign concept to me. I have never joined one, or even been curious to see what they are like. The only experience I have
had with them is in middle school when I used to go into chat rooms and talk to other teens. The only conversation involved there was about music and
movies. It has been years since I have ventured into anything onâline except for checking my eâmail or downloading music. In order to write about
onâline communities, the assignment given to the class I am in, I had to go onâline and explore the culture myself. Since I had no idea what server to
use or what sites were popular, the task was a little daunting.
The first thing I looked at was " The Lost...show more content...
The first one I went to was one on hipâhop music; it was a topic that interested me. I assumed that it would have interesting posts about how people
interpreted the lyrics to songs and what personal value a song had to them. It turned out to be a homepage with topics like "Why did political rap
die out?" and " Is Tupac really dead?" Political rap hasn't been popular since the early 1990's and Tupac was a famous rapper who got shot about three
years ago but his record label is still releasing his work. The site obviously had not been updated in a while. There were about 5 or 6 people that
voiced their opinion with only a sentence or two of effort put into it. Many that responded to "Why did political rap die out?" felt that rap today is
influencing children to take the easy way out and place all value on money. Since there was a small amount of people in each forum, I decided to go
look at a topic where more people would be involved.
I went to America Onâline's communities , and started reading topics in Christianity. There were many fundamentalists posting their thoughts on why
everyone should love Jesus. Like in reality, everyone has their niche where he likes to go for religion, and there are the conservatives and liberals. In
the midst of the preaching, there were discussion boards on Atheism and how the Bible can refute those arguments. It was evident an onâline survey
had been done in order to compile a list of

3. Persuasive Essay On Dating
Introduction
Individuals date for a variety of reasons. Some date for entertainment and companionship, while others date for potential partners. Dating is an exciting
way to socially interact with others while learning if they are a compatible match; however, dating can be challenging and frustrating at times. Before
the modern era, dating was viewed as a courtship, in which a couple prepared for marriage. The acceptance of overlapping relationship without
commitment makes dating so different today (Cohen 2015). The lack of commitment in dating gives individuals a chance to explore the dating world
and their options with no repercussions. Later in life, older people including divorced couples and unmarried singles are out on the dating scene
looking for love. There are multiple ways to find a partner from speed dating to online dating. Billions of dollars are accumulated each year with online
dating, where people are looking to interact with others and potentially find a companion. Dating is an important part of life with many benefits
including selfâknowledge and personal growth. However, dating can be stressful when meeting up for the first time, because of all the mixed emotions
and awkward moments. First dates are important, it can the beginning of a potential match made in heaven or the date from your worst nightmare.
Firstâdate Scripts
Firstâdate scripts are expectations from a man or woman preparing for a date; such as picking up your date, going to the movies, taking your date
out for dinner, etc. These are some of the things I am used to doing, when I am on a date. Usually, the male is the person who pays for the date,
although, the female may pay at times. Opening doors and giving your date flowers are something all women expect on their first date. For younger
generations, going on dates is about being adventurous and having lots of fun. Hooking up on a first date is always a possibility compared to when
women waited until marriage to get intimate with their partner. Hooks up are casual sex between two consenting adults with no promise of
commitment. Young adults want to avoid relationship problems and the stress of being in a committed relationship. Dating is a way for young adults
to experience

4. Starting a Business Online Essay
1.Identify the advantages and disadvantages of taking your small business online by performing a SWOT analysis. Include 2â4 items in each category.
What is a SWOT analysis? It is an evaluation of strengths and weaknesses of a business unit and identification of opportunities presented by the
markets of business units and threats posed by competitors. Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats is what the letters of SWOT resemble
(Schneider 2001 page 32).. Inside a business are where the strengths and weaknesses are found and what each business is capable of handling.
Opportunities and threats are located outside a company and are based on the real world (Zahorsky 2011). Starting a business online and moving

One is forcing organizations to accumulate lists of how to achieve certain objectives. Making uncritical lists without clear prioritization is an example
of how weak opportunities might appear to balance long threats. Most times a simple list may not be presented critical (Haughey 2000â2011).
2.Because the Internet connects computers all over the world, any business that engages in eâCommerce instantly becomes an international business.
The key issues that any company faces when it conducts international commerce include trust, culture, language, government, and infrastructure.
Explain how you would address each of these issues.
To create trust in a business the customer needs to rely on their own name brands. As a new business begins and starts online they face many
difficulties. Due to the kind of anonymity that exists for companies trying to establish a web presence, customers sometimes lack the trust that is
expected because people have been doing business with their neighbors not strangers for many years. As a company begins to take in the growing
aspect to become a larger corporation with multinational operations the reputation of the company grows too. In order for a company to do business
as it grows it should prove to the customers the trustworthiness as it continues to grow. In favor of a business to be successful they need to rapidly find
away to produce trust (Schneider 2011 page 34â35).

6. Online Classes Analysis
This is my first time taking online classes, also the first time I have been back to school in six years. When I was in high school I did have the
option to take online classes, but declined to do so. I enjoyed being in a classroom with my teachers and peers. I didn't have the responsibilities that
I have today. Now that I am older and have my own family, so I am typically busy all the time. Even though I am only in the second week of my
online classes, I have found that I enjoy them much more than sitting in a classroom. The classes are convenient for me to take mostly because I can
go at my own pace. I get to spend more time on topics that I have a hard time comprehending, rather than topics I already know about. I am always on

Having a degree is in demand with today's employers, this causes more and more people each year to go back to school. Better paying jobs require
degrees, it's as simple as that. In this modern day everyone is typically on the go, these easily accessible classes go anywhere you do. All you need is
a computer and the internet. Even from my smartphone I can participate in the discussion forums or even turn in assignments. This is something I
didn't even know was possible. If you find yourself having difficulties on a subject, you don't have to meet with a tutor face to face. You can do it all
from your computer or smartphone anywhere you are. New technology is being developed everyday, and after doing some research I have found
something interesting. Some teachers are starting to use artificial intelligence such as a "virtual teaching assistant". Students have said that they did not
know they were even talking with a computer. Along with that the process of making artificial intelligencelearning companions is said to be promising
in the future (https://thenextweb.com/artificialâintelligence/2017/03/13/howâartificialâintelligenceâenhancesâeducation/#.tnw_JyP4cgMY). In my
honest opinion I do not think that teachers could ever be replaced by artificial intelligence any time soon, although in the future it could

7. The Assembly Line
Bazin, Sarris, Kael, and Corrigan all have differing opinions on auteur theory, but the common thread is the commercialization of film (and director).
I found the studios coopting Fords model of the assembly line the perfect catalyst for auteur theory. The assembly line style of filmmaking doesn't
seem to inspire the ideal of the creation of art. The assembly line (by its nature) requires collaboration and the classic image of the artist is that of an
individual. A lone writer or painter struggles for inspiration and the discovery of new means of perception. One person's view of the world: their own
themes, voice, and style.
An assembly line can't produce with a lone artist manning each station. It requires collaboration. The assembly line conjures a different image of the
arts, a workingâclass factory floor laid out for efficiency, one where each step is repeated the...show more content...
It appeals to the audience's desire for familiarity. To know that their choice offilm will provide them with the expected entertainment. But what if your
goal isn't to recreate the same spark, but to forge ahead and always strive to create something new?
While, "the Cohens make no distinction between art and entertainment" (?????), the critic certainty does. So, if films are assembled by committee, who
is the real artist?
To answer this question critics created auteur theory. A response not only to the commercial elements of film, but a response to form of art built by a
community. I wonder if the transition from the individual to collective is too large of leap in the conversation of the artist. That auteur theory is
(partially) in response to the classical idea of the lone artist. If it is easier to disregard the writer and actors as masons and electricians, toiling in
construction, in pursuit of a single architects view of a building. The director is king, simply because he is an

8. Essay On Line Of Credit
What level of committed line of credit do we need, and consider how we have been managing working capital in the past and potential growth in
revenues that translates into working capital investment? You need to address the considerations in managing the cash conversion cycle better.
A business line of credit is one that gives capital to meet a whole variety of business needs. When business draw on their business line of credit to get
more working capital, buy inventory, handle seasonal cash flow gaps, pay off other debts, or address almost any other business emergency or
opportunity. On the other hand, a line of credit is a simple financing product that allows business to withdraw funds up to a predetermined amount. The

However, this metric looks at the amount of time needed to sell inventory, the amount of time needed to collect receivables and the length of time the
company is afforded to pay its bills without incurring penalties. In fact, most business acquires inventory on credit, which results in accounts payable.
A business can also sell products on credit, which results in accounts receivable. However, cash is not involved until the business pays the accounts
payable and collects the accounts receivable. Therefore, the cash conversion cycle measures the time between the outlay of cash and the cash
recovery. The cash conversion cycle cannot be observed directly in cash flows, which are affected by financing and investment activities as well;
rather, the cycle refers to the time span between a firm's disbursing and collecting cash (Mueller, (2017)
Should we keep existing cash on the balance sheet for future mergers and acquisitions or should we consider using some of these funds for supporting
our shortâterm line of credit needs?
Growth and expansion are some of the primary motivations that influence the decisions of a business. A business entity that pursues growth in existing
and new markets stands greater chances of maintaining competitive advantage over its rivals. Other than organic growth, a business can enter mergers
or acquire other firms to accelerate its market

9. Online Graduate Programs Essay
Online Graduate Programs
Over the past few years there has been a significant increase in the number of students enrolled in online graduate programs. Before online graduate
programs existed, an undergraduate student could only receive a graduate degree if they physically attended a university. However, with the
improvements in technology, students can now receive a graduate degree from their home by simply attending lectures online, and submitting their
work through email to the professor. Although there are conflicting ideas about whether or not a student can retain the same amount of information
from an online program as opposed to attending a graduate school, research shows that online graduate programs are equally as effective as...show more

This differs from the classroom where there may be several questions at one time in which the professor is trying to handle.
An example of the effectiveness of online learning may be seen through a recent study conducted by the Test of Understanding College Economics.
The study indicated, "students who select into the online classes perform better than they would in a face to face class" (Coates, 2004, p. 533).
Therefore, it has been proven that there is no significant difference in the material learned in online graduate programs as opposed to graduate schools.
These studies show that for some people, online graduate programs provide a better learning atmosphere than graduate schools. Therefore, online
graduate programs are better suited for some people.
In addition to being able to actively communicate with your professor online, students are able to work at their own pace. For online graduate
programs, an assignment will be given, and the student has to turn it in before the deadline. Students do not have to worry about what time they work
on the assignment as long as it is turned in on the date it was requested. This is beneficial for people who are trying to manage a job and attend school
at the same time. Since many people have to pay for graduate school themselves, they are often forced to work full time. Due to this, there are often
scheduling conflicts between work and graduate school. Students who attend graduate school
