3. Halo effect, where Ben's boss promotes him to sales manager based on his sales skills despite lacking leadership skills.
4. Stereotyping, where Ben assumes a smoker outside a cafe is a man but turns out to be a woman.

Social loafing refers to the concept that people are prone to
exert less effort on a task if they are in a group versus when
they work alone.

Both these scene show that Ah Beng tend to be social
loafing as he ask his friend to help him distribute the
brochure to the customers. This is because he could serve
more customer in order to achieve higher bonuses.

Influence - Scarcity
Scarcity is the perception of products seeming to become more
attractive when their perceived availability is rather limited.

In the comic, Ben was deciding whether to buy a
Proton car or a Honda car. He then decided to take
the Proton car because of the limited time offer.
8. 3. Halo Effect
Halo effect is a type cognitive bias in which our overall impression of a
person influences how we feel and think about his or her character.

The boss thinks that Ah Beng was a good
salesman and he promoted him as sales
manager. But he made a mistake on his
decision because Ah Beng was only good in
promoting but not in leading.

When Ben came to a coffee shop, he saw a person
smoking infront the entrance and he think that the
person was probably a guy. This is because in Ben’s
thought, only guy like smoking but girl loves shopping.
But when he approched the guy, he realize that “he” was
actually a girl!

Ben found out that the Proton car he bought was
actually more expensive than the Honda ones. If
and only if he bought the Honda car, he could buy
a new Rolex watch now.
