According to cognitive-developmental psychologist, Lawrence Kohlberg, there are six stages of moral and ethical development. The first stage called the Preconventional Morality stage is seen mostly in young children preschool, elementary and some junior high and high school individuals. In this stage one tends to obey in order not to get caught but given the opportunity without punishment the individual is more likely to disregard others and only think of themselves. Stage two called exchange of favors is when individual start to realize others have needs to and work toward helping others if it benefits their own need without punishment or consequences. The next stage conventional morality normally is not seen until the high school level. Individuals start to be aware of there actions and how others see their behavior in society and what constitutes the norms. Stage four individuals look for confidence in their behaviors through society’s eyes. Sometimes not realizing rules of merit can lack construct and should be change for the betterment of society. Also, in this stage rules are constraining, and inflexible Stage 5 social contract, is rarely present before college level. Individuals start to see that rules set in place are to protect society and keep order and rules can be flexible and evolve with society changes. The next stage to my surprise few people ever reach the universal ethical principle stage. At this stage we are looking at diversity and respecting other beliefs and searching for ways to live among each other with our differences. Being ethical to me means openness and understanding of other intentions even if we do not believe in their methods. One ethical dilemma that has always bothered me has happen in my personal and professional life. I find that when someone is singled out for one reason or another rather it is at work or personally everyone seems to jump on the band wagon and sometimes I feel if I do not agree than I will be singled out. I will not just agree to feel apart of something. It is just the person I am and sometimes it is not the best trait, but I believe strongly in treating other how you would like to be treated in a similar situation. A college education prepares you for problem solving and critical thinking. For example, when we are faced with ethical decisions we must be able to look at both side and come to a reasonable solution. Education makes us aware, alert and knowledgeable something that is very beneficial for high positions

Keeping communication open and letting them freely Express what they may feel . Anger, frustration, being scared, be open to outbursts a student may feel. Every student may have a different look out, or feelings towards this.
One strategy that this web page mentions is “ letting the students guide how much or little information to provide and emphasize the positive things that are available to stay safe”( National Associated of School Psychologists ,2015).
I would have intervention strategies in place with faculty, in case something as horrific as this were to occur again. Being prepared for the worse is also a good preparation. Having teachers look for signs or change in a students behavior would be good to keep documented. Andrew Golden ended up being a shooter at a school facility. Even though his father was completely shocked and in disbelief, he showed signs earlier in life of anger.. “ In first grade Andrew brought a pop gun to school filled with sand and shot a girl in the face” ( Paul G, 2000).
Identify trends that may provide insights into and assistance with coping in the aftermath of this type of tragic event.
I would start out expressing my own feelings, and hurt towards the situation. Knowing that even adults or authority figures are in pain as well, can express that we are all human, with feelings and it’s ok to hurt.
The importance of talk therapy here is going to be really important with the aftermath of this tragedy. It is important to help these students feel safe in a place where this boy use to attend their school. By having one on one sessions a person can open up with confidentiality. Dome students may do better in group therapy, more open to talking with the support of friends. Both therapy’s allow the students to be honest and express their feelings.
They need to feel that school is a safe place for them to still be able to attend. By placing higher security, and prevention such as metal detectors may help the students to feel more safe as well. I would say having some intervention

I think self -monitoring is how we evaluate ourselves and is a way to make us better. If we were to truly monitor, correct the faults that we see, and build on our strengths on some of the critical traits for locus of control, how we perceive ourselves and others, self-efficacy, attitude and self-esteem we could change our weaker areas. "Locus of control deals with the degree to which people feel accountable for their own behaviors"(The Saylor Foundation, 2017). Locus of control discusses the internal and external locus of control. Internal means that you are the reason something is happening and external is saying that something else caused this to happen. "Perception may be defined as the process with which individuals detect and interpret environmental stimuli"(The Saylor Foundation, 2017). The three areas of perception are visual, Self and social. A persons perception might not always be as they think it is and might cause them to judge another person the wrong way by misunderstanding their actions. I think self perception has to do with the way people are and depends a lot on how they grew up. It plays a large part in their self esteem, whether they are approachable, social or just like to keep to themselves. "Self-efficacy is a belief that one can perform a specific task successfully"(The Saylor Foundation, 2017). Everyone does not have this ability, but the ones that do are usually successful when trying new things and getting the job done above the standard. I think that this is crucial in any organization, especially the Army. We are always getting new tasks, promotion, and missions that we have never done before that if we fail have a lot of consequences. Failure cannot be in our thought process. Understanding this in the work place will help with the dynamics that come a long with a lot of different personalities. You shouldn't be quick to judge others by getting the wrong perception. Helping yourself and others understand this will build a stronger organization and team within that organization.

“ Philosophy of Behavior Management”
I take an uplifting position on direct organization. I emphatically assume that it is basic to work with a child and not against them. To address a direct issue I assume that first you ought to grasp the lead and simply more critically appreciate what its causes are. There is an a lot of ways to deal with change an issue. There are a couple of systems that I acknowledge are ideal. The system picked is a result of the possibility of the lead. I assume that the instructor should be proactive, not just reacting to hones but instead play it safe measures. The child throws toys as well as objects between four to ten times a day but it does not take long. The intensity of this behavior is very disruptive. The child does the yell shuting-up near between four to ten times a day, which in terms of intensity is very disruptive. Finally, the child throws chairs violent but not so often because this is done like twice in every six months. The intensity under which this is done is dangerous. (Quinn, Gable, Rutherford Jr, Nelson, & Howell,1998).

What did you learn about yourself and your abilities to be a teacher of
young children, and how you worked as part of a teaching team?
As I take this class, I see my teacher skills build every day when I come to the
lab. I see patience in all the teachers and also in me. When I have to convince
the children to make good choices, solve problems, and deal with challenging
behaviors. As a teacher, I’m a role model and a friend to the children. When I set
up an activity, I think about how I can challenge the children to do things that I
think they will learn from that activity. For example, I want the children to do math
patterns, balance with one leg, or walk on the beam without helping hands. The
children need to practice and build on their knowledge, and they learn the skills
through all the activities that they are engaged in in the class.
As a teaching team member, communication is the most important thing.
Teachers need to keep track of the ratio throughout the day. They must
communicate with other teachers in the room when they take the children to the
restroom. Announcing the change in the routine to ensure the children know what
will happen differently that day and let coworkers expect what to do. Never let
down your guard when you are with the children.
What did you learn most about planning emergent curriculum for young
children?
I learned that an emergent curriculum is a program that plans lessons based on
the children's interests. Planning needs a lot of experience, and teachers must
decide what is important for the children to learn. The activity setup layout needs
to be welcoming, and the color and materials must be related. The material and
objects need to stand out to catch the children’s eyes. I need to support diversity,
math, or literacy in the activity. The teacher creates intentional teaching material
that encourages the children to build on what they already know.
What did you find challenging and rewarding about your lead days?
The lead day sounded scary to me in the middle of the semester. Lead day
practice takes place over two days, and these two days are helpful for me in
learning the routine and keeping track of time. It is important to be flexible about
what is happening in the environment and make sure to make the transition at
the right time. When I ask other teachers to do something, I find myself being
weird, especially if they are the teachers and already know what needs to be
done. The lead days taught me how important communication is with team
members.

I am not surprised at the results of this study, Students have their own reasons for why they do what they do when it comes to plagiarism. I do agree that there are three group types. Students who chose to cheat their way through tend to have excuses why they can not do their work on there own. As far as writing the proper citing it can quickly become a form of plagiarism. The present study explains the psychosocial and behavioral health amongst children whose fathers are incarcerated or fathers who demonstrate antisocial behaviors. This study was also conducted to help promote father involvement. Mothers may try and foster the father figure but a child may stiff be affected emotionally, especially if there are any family members evolved in filling that void for the child. Children like myself, often rebel and have difficulties coping with the absence of their fathers or the often revolving door done by some fathers (incarcerated fathers/ antisocial). I agree with some topics discussed in this article, which said that children often are less open to rebuilding relationships with absent fathers. This study is relevant to the course because it relates to social development and how parent involvement parallels with positive/ negative behaviors. This article does not explain step parents and foster dads and how a child’s behavior may still be impacted. I can incorporate this article in my final paper by observing the parent interactions at my agency and seeing how a child behaves if he has his/ her father present.

The theory of this article is that positive parenting may effect a child’s temperament, while negative parenting may have an effect on children socially, whether parents know it or not. Essentially, the parenting effects (i.e. negative or positive) correspond with a child’s disposition, starting mainly at early school ages. According to these researchers, the act of knowing/ displaying appropriate behaviors socially, can later determine a child’s success and adaptability. This researcher’s found that parenting is definitely essential to a child’s social development. Also, parent behaviors (i.e. supportiveness, aggressive, stresses, emotional styles etc.) can later determine “positive” or “negative” parenting. Autism is a complicated progressive disability. Researchers think that Autism exhibits itself during the age of 18 to 36 months old. The illness is the effect of a neurological condition that has an influence on natural brain performance, effecting promotion of the individual’s social and communication abilities. A student with an autism disorder will have a problem with non-verbal skills, and difficulty with activities which involve an environment of play and/or joking. They could have uncommon replies to society, connections to items, refusal to accept an adjustment in their daily routines, and severe behavior challenges.

I am Interested in understanding Autism behavior challenges to improve classroom management. As a Special Education teacher understanding Autism behaviors can be very beneficial. A projection of 1 in every 68 citizens in the country has various types of autism; boys are more prevalent than girls. Several professionals think that this (ASD) is linked hereditary or through the atmosphere. Studies show in a classroom of 18 or more. Typically, at least two of the classroom children for each one student are diagnosed with (ASD). Children with (ASD) show disruptive behaviors, and many of them have problems like harming self and anger tantrum. Behaviors form anxiety for parents and specialists, because it inconsistent with the development of desired behaviors and communication skills (DSM-5, 2013), and have risks on child himself and others. Findings show after researching over a hundred teachers in a public major school of students who strugglers with ASDs.
Lack of classroom management, and inconsistent strategies played a huge factor in behaviors. An effort to be made by schools to address the teacher’s perception of causes of challenging behavior as it has an influence on their choice of management strategies. Also, the teachers agreed that the behavior was learned,
and could be improved, but they did not often use strategies that are commonly considered to be effective, at least within the fields of ABA and PBS (Baron, Groden, & Lipsitt 2006). Consistency and reinforcement, they are solutions for resolving occurring behaviors, which increase the likelihood that behavior will continue to occur or occur more often (Cooper, Heron, & Heward, 2007).

Once you have a fairly narrow research question and have conducted a thorough literature review, the next step is to turn your attention to the research design. The research design is simply a plan for how you will conduct your research, as it informs each step of the research process. In addition to research design, you are introduced to the concepts of internal and external validity and generalizability. During the latter half of the week, you focus on a particular instrument of measurement: the pretest and posttest. Capturing information from research study participants both before and after a particular event can yield priceless data.
