A recognized high quality compost
The Nepal Agricultural Research Council made
an experiment that proved that with Biocomp
compost, farmers obtain the same output as
with chemical fertilizers.

  • 3. Waste management in Kathmandu : a critical issue • A booming demography and no efficient infrastructure • 5 millions people in KTM valley • Unauthorized rubbish damp sites • 450 tons of waste /day, increasing of 5% per year => greenhouse gas • 70 to 80 % is organic – compost – Biogas 4

  • 17. A recognized high quality compost The Nepal Agricultural Research Council made an experiment that proved that with Biocomp compost, farmers obtain the same output as with chemical fertilizers. 18
  • 18. The project is eligible to sell carbon credits Biocomp saves 24,000 tons of greenhouse gas emissions Thanks to the support of our privileged partner : and the achievement of The Gold Stardard’s accreditation The sales of carbon credits will also be a source of revenues 19

Market segments • Demand for compost estimated at 400,000 tons per year • Biocomp is the only authorized compost production company in Nepal • The price of the compost will depend on the quantity bought and on the type of compost (raw or fine) Other clients could also be : garden centers, agricultural expo, hotels etc. 23
