2. Adult Education Programme
Zinc is excited to be hosting a wide range of new
courses and classes for adults within the local
community as part of Zinc’s Adult Education
Programme.
There will be a variety of taster sessions and half
day classes, as well as more intense six week
courses or one day events which will offer you the
opportunity to develop your creative skills and become fully immersed in the subjects
of your choice.
Taster sessions: These will provide you with a ‘taste’ of your chosen subject
matter, allowing you to learn basic techniques and skills.
These taster sessions last for 2 - 3 hours (depending on
which subject you choose). Liked the taster session? Why
not try the full six week course, and really sink your teeth into
the subject!
Half day classes: There are two subject matters which are available as a half
day session; ‘Jewellery Making’ and ‘Folk Art’. These one-off
classes provide a great opportunity to get creative.
Full courses: These courses run over a six week period, one session a
week, providing you with an in depth insight into the subject
matter of your choice. These sessions will run for 2 - 3 hours
(depending on which subject you choose).
One day events: These single day courses are one-off events which run at
different dates throughout the year. We currently only have
event: ‘Starting Your Own Business’ (page 9).
Full details on all courses and classes can be found in this brochure, and if you see
anything that tickles your fancy, then please complete the application form on page 8
and return it to Zinc. Alternatively, you can register onto any of our classes, courses
