This document discusses the pros and cons of implementing a community-based participatory research (CBPR) health promotion project with a vulnerable population group. Some potential pros include developing a collaborative partnership with patients and actively involving the vulnerable population in developing and implementing the health promotion plan. However, the population's existing health disparities and inequities could both benefit and hinder the success of the project. The student is asked to consider these factors for a vulnerable population they previously identified and to support their discussion with at least three scholarly sources.
