Props and Costumes

2. ‣ For the intro scene we used an
apple mac computer. We used
Facebook to show that the 2
girls used to be friends,
however no they longer talk to
each other, using the Apple Mac
helps show this as we recorded
the screen using Quick Time
Player and used some shots of
Millie typing.
INTRO PROPS

3. 1. LIP-SYNCING OUTFIT
‣ For the first lip synching shots we
chose to have Millie in a plain black
roll neck as we knew the shots were
going to be in black and white,
therefore there wasn't any point in
Millie wearing colour. This also makes
the main focus Millie lip syncing.
‣ In the second part of lip syncing we
decided to put Millie in a white shirt
dress. As she’s laying on a bed with a
grey throw over her, we wanted to
show purity and innocence, therefore a
white dress with white bed sheets was
a good way to show this.

4. ‣ For the two mini me’s we
thought it was only right to
have them dressed in school
uniform, this is because all the
memories we showed in the
music video took place when
the 2 girls were in school,
therefore we wanted their outfit
to link with the location.
MINI ME OUTFITS

5. FIELD OUTFIT
▸ For this outfit we wanted again a
simple outfit, as the main focus of
these shots was Millie’s bright pink
lipstick. Also, we wanted the focus
to be on the location of the field
and mini forest, therefore the outfit
was plain and simple to ensure
these two things were
accentuated.

6. SOUTHEND PROPS AND COSTUMES
▸ We wanted the outfits for Southend to
be casual yet fashionable, therefore we
chose to use simple outfits again to
make the main focus the location and
the flashback being shown. Also shown
in these shots are Katie’s slush puppy,
we decided to include this because it’s
a typical convention of a seaside trip.
▸ We also used a phone in these shots to
show interaction between Katie and
Millie when Millie returns to Southend
with a different friend, Alice.

7. SLEEPOVER PROPS AND COSTUMES
▸ To match typical conventions of a
girly sleepover, the girls were
dressed in pyjamas to show this as
a flashback when they were
younger. They also take part in
girly activities, including plaiting
each others hair and doing their
makeup. We used many props in
these shots, including makeup and
the grey throw to make it more of a
girly sleepover.
