1. The document discusses the concept of "prophetic fishing", which refers to allowing the Holy Spirit to work through a person to change lives in any situation.
2. It emphasizes practicing and becoming aware of God's presence on a daily basis through repeatedly "breathing in" His freedom, love and security, and "breathing out" frustrations and fears.
3. When a person practices God's presence, they can take authority over situations and act in powerful ways as the Holy Spirit makes His power available, as Jesus promised His followers would do greater things than He did.

Holy Choices - Introduction to Ignatian Decision-MakinigBill Faris
Bill Faris guides us into the fundamental concepts and practices of discerning God's plans and making decisions as informed by the teaching of Ignatius Loyola.
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” (Romans 8:14)
Exactly how are we be led by the Holy Spirit?
Exactly how does the Holy Spirit communicate to all of us in this life?
If the Bible calls the Holy Spirit our Guide and Teacher in this life, then this means He will attempt to communicate to all of us from time to time.
Otherwise we will never be able to pick up from Him exactly what He is trying to teach us or tell us to do.
The very first thing we need to know if we want to learn how to be led by the Holy Spirit is that
We can develop a direct personal relationship with Him
Just like you already have with God and Jesus.
Here are two key verses from the apostle Paul telling us that we are allowed to have direct communication and direct fellowship with the Holy Spirit Himself:
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” (2 Corinthians 13:14)
“Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit …” (Phillippians 2:1)
Rom 8:5-8 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
Self-examination of walking GOD’s way/ growth of confidence The word of the B...franktsao4
When we walk the spiritual path, the first thing is to be sanctified, that is, to be separated from the world. This does not mean that we have to leave this world immediately, but that although we are in the world, everything we do, what we say, is representing God. And we can always remain unbiased in God’s truth, and at the same time continue to thrive. This chapter will discuss this topic
BC&D-1: What is the definition of Biblical Counseling John Barnett
What is the definition of Biblical Counseling (Romans 15:4-6, 13-14)?
4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. 5 Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, 6 that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
• “teaching” (didasko) part of our great commission task to be “teaching” all true disciples of Christ (Mt. 28:20).
• “patience” (hupomeno) this word means “stays in place, abides”; God is described as being faithful and unchangingly staying in place. This also describes the Word (I Pet. 1:23) and in I Cor. 13:13 ‘faith, hope, and love’. This is also the great word of Psalm 27:14; Isaiah 40:31.
• “comfort” (paraklesis): means comfort that comes through God's Word that is based upon the faithful God we can and do trust. God is the God of patience and comfort, and He alone through His Word can comfort the downcast (II Cor. 7:6).
13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. 14 Now I myself am confident concerning you, my brethren, that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
• “The God of hope” is the source of hope we offer as Disciple-making/Counselors (v. 13a);
• His Holy Spirit energizes this hope by “the power of the Holy Spirit” (v. 13b);
• All Counseling/Disciple-makers need to be “full” of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22);
• Only by the Spirit are we “able” (v. 14a) this word (dunamai) means power or ability, it is passive, so that means ‘made able by another’, or ‘enabled’;
• All believers have been left with the job description (I Th. 5:14) to be Biblical Counselors “admonish one another” (noutheteo). This word means ‘impart understanding’, ‘set right’, or ‘lay upon the heart’. Paul said this is what his ministry was 24/7 (Acts 20:31).

Watch and Pray – How to?
Text:
Luke 21:34-38 (NIV) – “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth. Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”
Each day Jesus was teaching at the temple, and each evening he went out to spend the night on the hill called the Mount of Olives, and all the people came early in the morning to hear him at the temple.
Target Audience:
Union Church of Monterrey members and eventual visitors
Objective:
Instruct regarding the Bible teachings about what to be watchful for and to continually pray, and the end result of this.

The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

2. Taking Breathing
Lessons
Review Chapter 1:
• Prophetic Fishing: the presence and power of God
showing up at any given moment to change a life-or
lives.
• It happens when we get out of the way and let the
Holy Spirit work through us – moving in the flow of
the Holy Spirit.
• It can happen ANYWHERE!
• It is available to anyone who is available to the Holy
Spirit in any and every situation.
3. Taking Breathing
Lessons
Review Chapter 1:
• We only need to:
1. Step out in love
2. Ask permission to share
3. Allow the boldness of the Holy Spirit to use us
Our “natural” + His “super” = Supernatural
4. Taking Breathing
Lessons
• Sometimes God will lead us to place where we had
no intentions on going. It’s important to ALWAYS
follow His directions.
Read the “Gym Story” (Chpt 2)
• Have you ever felt “the urge” to go somewhere not
knowing why? What happened as a result?
5. Taking Breathing
Lessons
• Anyone who wants to exercise the gift of prophetic
fishing must learn to practice the presence of God.
• It begins with intentionally letting go of your own
wishes and desires. Then your own wishes and wants
are gone and are replaced with His perfect plan for
your life.
• Scripture is clear that physical and spiritual breath are
connected: Genesis 2:7, John 20:21-22, Acts 2:4, Isaiah
42:5, Job 12:10, Job 32:8, Job 33:4, Acts 17:25, 2 Tim
3:15.
6. Taking Breathing
Lessons
• What does practicing God’s presence mean?
• PRACTICE: the actual application or use of an idea,
belief, or method as opposed to theories about such
application or use. Repeated exercise in or
performance of an activity or skill so as to acquire or
maintain proficiency in it.
• Therefore, practicing God’s presence moves
beyond what we see others do or hear others talk
about…it is actually making it a part of our daily
routine and what we do. Then we can experience
God’s presence on daily basis.
• Therefore, practicing God’s presence moves
beyond what we see other people do or hear
people talk about…it is actually making it a part of
our daily routine and what we do. Only then we
can experience God’s presence on daily basis.
8. Taking Breathing
Lessons
• If you want to cultivate a good habit in your life, you
have to do something nineteen times in order for it
to become second nature to you. Similarly, when you
practice breathing in God's presence again and again,
you eventually reach the point of knowing He is
there. You become aware of Him on a deeper level.
• We have to practice, therefore, breathing out our
worries and fears and breathing in the freedom, love
and security of God's presence.
9. Taking Breathing
Lessons
• Exhaling is as important as inhaling. Exhaling
spiritually means letting go. You must exhale the
frustrations, fears and resentment that keep you
from fulfilling your potential in Christ.
• God tells us to forget the things that happened in the
past and press on to the mark of the high calling in
Christ Jesus (Phil 3:13-14, KJV).
• What is the high calling? Him!
10. Taking Breathing
Lessons
• As He breathes His life into us, and then He gives us
the power to breathe it into other people's lives.
• When you know Him in an intimate way-when you
practice His presence-He makes His power available
to you at all times, and you will be able to act in
mighty ways as situations arise.
• "I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will
do what I have been doing. He will do even greater
things than these, because I am going to the Father"
(John 14:12).
11. Taking Breathing
Lessons
• When we practice His presence, continuously
breathing in His glory and power, we can take
authority over all things.
• We must ask the Holy Spirit to increase the spirit of
discernment in us so we know whether something
comes from God or from the gods of this world.
• The Holy Spirit does not intrude where He is not
welcome. For this reason, ALWAYS ask permission
from someone before you talk to them about the
Lord.
12. Taking Breathing
Lessons
• Because I am practicing God's presence and listening
so carefully to my Lord's voice, and because He
already has prepared the hearts of those to whom
He wants me to talk, I have never been turned away.
Even if that should happen one day, I would be
satisfied in knowing that I had been obedient to God.
• When a person's heart is open, the Holy Spirit finds
fertile ground for His message of love and salvation
in Jesus Christ. But we must be practicing the
presence of Christ and listening to the Holy Spirit to
know when that sun is shining.
13. HOMEWORK
1. Take some time to practice 2. Then write down at least
breathing in the presence of one thing that you learned
God. Find a quiet place where through this time spent with
you will not be interrupted, Him.
and do not be hard on
yourself if it does not come
easy at first. Perhaps you will
want to spend some time in
the Psalms reading about
God's glory and majesty. Ask
Him to help you grow in a
sense and awareness of His
presence.
The Bible says that God "rewards those who earnestly seek him" (Hebrews 11:6).
He will respond to your efforts to reach out to Him-and your life will never be the same.
