The Colorado Esplanade project will landscape a section of Colorado Avenue with 96 new trees, outdoor furniture, and festival lighting every 25 feet. The project will be completed before the Expo light rail line begins service. Current work includes placing structural soil along the sidewalk to support tree roots while allowing sidewalk access. The project will have two phases and include public outreach to local businesses.
