Project Schedule and Tasks
1. Project Schedule Unit 4, 5 and 62
Assignment 2:
Task 1: Risk Assessment:
The risk assessment stage consists of a document which indicates any risks which may
occur during the production of the video, I will note these risks and cautions and what we will
do in order to overcome it in the event that it happens.
Task 2a: Target Audience
The target audience research will involve gathering information regarding the audience and
how to put the information across to them. During this research I will gain an understanding
of our competitors (other colleges) and where my product will be situated (Market Place). I
will research into other colleges in the area and age groups of potential students.
Task 2b: Questionnaire
During this section I will create a questionnaire which will allow me to gain feedback as to
what would make a successful video and how I can promote Media studies as a course.
Task 2c: Planning
Brainstorming: projecting my ideas onto a brainstorm will be a good start to my planning as I
can state a few ideas onto a page and refer back to them later on in the project.
Storyboarding: storyboarding my scenes give me a good guide when it comes to actually
filming the footage, also it allows me to set out what scenes will consist of and the different
camera angles and transitions ill use.
Script: the script will consist of the transitions and the positioning of the characters
throughout the video, however it will also contain the various questions which the voice over
will ask students which are studying media, the students will then express their own
opinions, not reading off a script.
Shot logs: shot logs will help me keep track of the footage which I have filmed, I will take
note of the content of the footage, audio and the duration, also I will leave comments as to
what happens in the footage so that I know which clips are which in the file.
Mood boards: mood boards will allow me to indicate different camera angles, effects,
lighting, etc. through a collage of images. I can throw lots of ideas onto a page which I think
may be useful in the filming of the video.
Task 3a: Proposal
I and my team members will work as a team in order to create a client proposal in order to
outline the different elements of our product; we will take note of points regarding the
content, target audience, resources, etc.

2. Task 3b: Client Presentation
The client presentation will involve me and my team members pitching our product to our
client in detail, so that the client has a full understanding of our intentions and what we’re
doing. It is important to inform the clients of the work were doing as we are working for them.
During this presentation we will inform the client on the content which the video will contain,
expressing ideas such as interviewing tutors and students, tour of the college, etc.
Task 4:
Production meeting: the production meeting will involve us sitting down as a team and
review the feedback we have received from the client regarding any changes they may want
to make with our ideas.
Agenda and minutes: after the meeting we will need to create an agenda and minutes to
note down proof that the meeting occurred and to make notes on what the meeting was
about and the different things which we conversed about, noting any changes.
Short Report: the short report will basically consist of me writing a document to indicate any
changes made and what has been agreed for the final product.
Task 5:
Collection of assets: this will involve me collecting all the assets we need for the creation of
our project, this will include any video footage which has already been shot in past college
videos, images, etc.
Assets table: during this stage I will create a table notifying any assets which are going to be
used in the final product and stating where the assets were from and if I have found them or
created them myself.
Task 6: Shooting raw video
During this stage we will shoot all of our raw footage referring back to the storyboards and
script so that we can then move on and edit it.
Assignment 3:
Task 1: Assets management
This stage will consist of me importing the video and writing a diary/log as evidence that I
have organised my assets.
Task 2: Editing footage
Once we have shot all the raw footage and imported it to the computer, we will edit it and link
all the footage together, adding effects, transitions and audio in order to create our
completed video.
Task 3:
Exporting: Export the project: once all the editing is complete I will need to export the
product to a format which is suitable for the World Wide Web, DVD and presentation.

chose for the product and why I have chosen it. Also I will need to produce evidence of me
exporting the product.

Questionnaire: I will produce a questionnaire for my class members to fill out and collect
their feedback on my completed product, and make any changes if needed.
Client Review meeting: I will then hold a meeting with my client to inform them on the work
which I have completed and the final product outcome; also I will share with them the
feedback which I received.
Report: After receiving all the feedback I will produce a short report noting the points which I
received from my class members and review them.
Task 5: Evaluation
The final stage of this unit I will produce an evaluation which reflects on the final product and
the production skills used throughout to achieve my finished product. I will note how my work
meets the client brief and how suitable it is for my target audience.
