The student created a Space Invaders game in Scratch for a class project. They first tried to recreate Pac-Man and Mario games but found those examples too complex. They struggled to understand Scratch at first but were able to complete the Space Invaders game after finding a helpful tutorial video. Several classmates played the game and provided feedback, noting it was fun but could be improved by adding a "game over" feature. For future projects, the student wants to create their own original game design rather than copying examples, and would appreciate more guidance from the teacher on how programming concepts work.

1. Project Review: Programming in
Scratch
The assignment was that you will need to apply skills I have been learning to create an interactive
story, animation, simulation or a game in Scratch. You objective will be to show your mastery of
the more advanced programming concepts (variables, broadcast or operators).
What I was trying to do in this project is trying to make a game in scratch. My first step for doing to
game was to go and investigate some good game in you tube because I did not understand how to
use scratch that well. But then when I did Pac man someone told me that it was already in the
examples and I had to do the game again. I kept on searching for more games in YouTube and I
found Mario. Then I realized that you needed to do a lot of things for Mario to jump and move!
Finally I found SPACE INVADERS when I saw the video changed things by putting music on and
more codes so it is complicated. To conclude this paragraph it was very hard to do the game
because it took a while to see the videos and especially Pac man because I needed to it all again.
In my game there were a lot of things that went of thing that went wrong. One of the most
important was that I had to do the games three times. This is because I did the Pac man game but
the I found out that it was in the example and then I tried to the Mario game but the scripts were
to long an d we only had 1 week to finish the game so I did space invaders. When I first started it
was very hard because I was a bit confused do build the block but then when I found the correct
video the person explained it very well. Furthermore there are a person who is called Galo who
tested my game and he said ‘interesting and you can´t stop playing when you start’, and another
person called Theo said ‘good is very creative and very good quality, bad that when you lose you
can still play and he said that the music was also good.’ and there is another person called Cris
Ortiz that said ‘jaja ok ok this is good jaja you overcame congratulations’ Finally there is another
person called Marco who said ‘you should leave it as less time in the introduction when you start
the game.’ To conclude this paragraph I think that my game in overall good but I don’t need to
leave something in blank when you start the game and also when you die you can steal kill.

2. What I would like to do next time when we use scratch is that I should make my own game
because then it is unfair to other people meanwhile I also think it is good because why did the
other people also search in the internet. What I would like to learn when i learn programming is
that the teacher might explain more how does it works.
