Elvis Presley was born in 1935 and is known as the King of Rock & Roll. He began his career in 1954 at Sun Records and made his film debut in 1956 in Love Me Tender. Over his 25 year career, Elvis became the best-selling solo artist of the 20th century and the first to have a global live broadcast in 1973 in Hawaii. He released numerous studio albums, live albums, compilations and singles. Some of his most famous hits include Jailhouse Rock, Heartbreak Hotel, and Don't Be Cruel. Elvis influenced many other performers such as the Beatles and Tom Jones. He died in 1977 at age 42 of a heart attack.
