Kerman Province Miduk copper complex
It was a project to provide around 150MW active power for Nicico expansion projects from
400KV nation power grid to 132KV Nicico’s network and 132KV regional power grid. It was
an AIS green field project with One and a half breaker in 2*400KV bays switchyard and H
type in 11*132KV feeders with 2*200MVA transformers. All utilities in Scada, Conventional
Control, Protection, communication, AC/DC, Diesel generator, civil and construction,
fencing, bus and cable work have been included in an EPC project.
Azerbaijan Province Sungun copper complex
It was a project to provide around 30MW active power for Nicico expansion project from
230KV nation power grid to 20KV Nicico’s network. It was an AIS brown field project to add
a new 40 MVA transformer in a RING 230KV switchyard to provide a new 20KV feeder. All
utilities in Scada, DCS Control, Protection, communication, AC/DC, MV switchgear, bus
and cable work have been included in an EPC project.
Sistan & Baluchistan Province Chehlkooreh copper complex
It was a project to provide around 9MW active power for Nicico new project from 63KV
regional power grid to 6.9KV Nicico’s new network. It was an AIS green field project with
two incomings 63KV and 2*15MVA transformers. All utilities in Scada, Conventional
Control, Protection, communication, AC/DC, civil and construction, fencing, bus and cable
work, duct banks, MV switchgear have been included in an EPC project.
Kerman Province Sarcheshmeh Copper Complex:
In order to provide required power for expansion projects in this location, we have finalized
the required Basic/Detail design and finding best location for three new substations:
230KV AIS Switching substations, One and a half breaker with 8 incoming and
outgoings
230KV GIS Double-Busbar, 2*80MVA transformers
132KV GIS H type, 2*80MVA transformers
ii. List of EPC ( Engineering, Procurement and Construction) Medium and Low voltage
projects and its code in Sarcheshmeh Copper complex:
E3: Switchgear and MCC: Replacing ten old LV Power center switchgears by new metal
clad and well equipped ones and refurbishment the 20 air bus ducts and 130 ACBs.
Replacing old MCC by new safer, divided compartment and well equipped ones.
E7: Protection Relay and Automation: Replacing all old protection relays by numerical
intelligent types, providing SAS for all substations (including remote mines and sites spread
in 70 Sq. Km), SCADA, FDS ( Fundamental Design Specifications SAS/SCADA), Power
Management System (PMS), Intelligent Load Shedding (ILS) for the factory’s power plant,
Network Protocols DNP 3 and IEC61850, Providing a media of fiber optic, Radio system
and Communication network, Human Machine Interface (HMI) software applications, LAN

E8: Switchgear GIS and Breakers: Replacing all different types minimum oil circuit
breakers and SF6 circuit breaker on trucks with Vacuum CB, replacing an MV Air Insulation
Switchgear by a metal clad semi GIS with a complete SAS/numerical relays/power quality
meters systems, Installation the tuned MV filter banks, Installation PASS systems, design
for installation of an IS-Limiter, replacement two in-box- Disconnector Switches with their
enclosures with new ones, replacing two air bus ducts with the fully insulated ones …..
E9: Transformers and Ring Main Units: Replacing the 42 distribution Askarel (PCB) oil
immerse transformers by cast resin dry types and exporting the oil and contaminated
equipment to disposal plant in France. In this project we replaced 16 Oil Immersed LBSs by
metal enclosed GIS RMUs
Note: Energy Globe (An International Foundation in Austria) awarded National Award in
2013 for this project and the project was a candidate for Energy Globe International Award
in 2013 as well.
E13: Partial Discharge: Installation online and offline partial discharge measurement and
monitoring system for MV machines (45 units including Generators 11 & 6.9KV and
Electromotors 6.9KV) based on North American method in the production lines.
Furthermore, providing a portable measurement PD system for switchgears, electromotors,
cables and terminators based on European method.
E17: Skid Mounted Substations: Replacing 3 old and conventional mining substations
5MVA, 20/6.9KV and 12 mining 6.9KV switchboxes by new mobile and skid mounted ones.
They are equipped by numerical relay, Power Quality Meters and Broadband Power Line
carrier data systems on MV cables.
E20: Transformers and Cable Duct Banks: Expanding electrical distribution network
(including 11 transformer substations, 12KV metal enclosed switchgear with 22 feeders,
encapsulated resin bus ducts, 20 Km triplex 20/12KV cables, 1200 meter duct bank, 16
manholes, 35 distribution industrial transformers 20/6.9KV & 20/0.4KV, 45 units metal clad
semi GIS, plug in terminators, etc.) for the new consumer to feed 40MW new plants.
