 40% uprating of three machines of Bhakra Left Bank Power House
was successfully achieved, which is highest uprating in the world.
 Water supplied to the satisfaction of all the states continuously
for more than 5 ½ years.
 Inspite of conflicting interests of the states, regulation of power
and water was done very successfully.
• Despite one of the oldest transmission lines in India, Transmission
system availability has been more than 99% continuously during the
tenure.
• Devised and executed strategic and tactical action plans and drive to
achieve objectives led BBMB to won honours and awards four times of
the total won by BBMB in previous 44 years upto 2010.
• Three Silver & Bronze Shields for its 396 MW Pong Power House from
Govt. of India under National Meritorious Award Scheme.
