Editing Schedule
The editing software I will use is Adobe Premier pro, not only because I used it last year and it proved highly successful, but
also because it has many different features that you can apply in your video. For example, in the school scene when the nerd
sees a double image of Sophie representing his alienation and the fact that his glasses have fallen off, I will use the ‘ghosting’
effect as it creates the double image that I desire and it is easy to apply with a ‘drag-and-drop’ ability. Premier Pro’s timeline
allows you to easily view your creating, with separate tabs for audio and visual elements, allowing you much diversity when
3. arranging your clips.
For my SD card, I will use SanDisk as they are a reliable brand who have always used in the past. I will film with the 8gb version
as this is enough memory to film with without being too excessive.

4. Equipment
Sony NEX-EA50 –I chose to use this as my primary camera as the picture quality is of
a very high standard and the wide angle lens allow for great scope when containing
key content within the frame boundaries. The extended shoulder mountfunction at
the bottom, rear of the camera allows for superbly stable handheld shots that are
ideal for my video for when I need to convey a tense situation in a controlled,
focused manner. Also, the digital viewing screen is of a good sizeand quality to allow
me to view the filming as clearly as possible. The camera is integrated with an
EL18200PZ18-200mmpower zoomfunction providing auto-focus with an adjustable
zoomspeed and the ‘Optical Steady Shot’ facility delivers great image stabilisation.
These features are ideal for my last, outro shot which requires a lengthy (40 second) zoomout and thereforeI know
this camera will deliver.
Sony HC-V550 – I will use this camera, not
only for the jib shots since I cannot attach
my primary NEX-Ea50 camera to it, but
also in the schoolscenes. This is because
the corridors I willfilm in are narrow and
tight and therefore it will be easier for me
to use a smaller camera so that it will
enable me to physically get into the action
more, taking the audience into a new,
more personalperspectivewith the nerd character. It is still a 1080p, fullHD camcorder with 10 megapixels
nevertheless, and thereforethe change in camera should not distractthe audience’s attention.
5. Panasonic DMC-FS37 –This 16 megapixel camera is highly suitable for someoneto
take photos of me whilstfilming on location. It is compact, meaning it can easily be
transported and has a good quality zoom function – 8x with 28mmwide-anglelens.
GoPro Hero3 – I am using this camera for the underwater shots in the swimming
pool in Greece. This is becauseit is completely waterproof, and it also is known widely
for having excellent wide angle lens - offering a 170 degree view. Itis very compact
and lightweight, meaning it can easily be transported on set and therefore will not get
damaged.
Hague Handy Jib – This camera jib is very effective for producing smooth, high or low angle craneshots. Itcan be
worn on the cameraman via the supportstrap accessory; however I prefer to attach it to my Giottos MTL-9351B
tripod becauseit makes the shoteven smoother for the audience. Itis very strong and sturdy, madeof aluminium
so it can easily be used in many locations. The tilt controls, panning upwards and downwards as wellas the 360
degree rotation, gives me access to a large variety of professionalshots for my music video.
6. Giottos MTL-9351B tripod –I havechosen to usethis tripod as it is very strong, with an
aluminium frame making it highly durablefor any film location. Also you can adjustit to any
height and smoothness on the handles, therefore allowing me more freedomwhen filming
my shots. Also, you can attach ‘dolly’ wheels underneath which therefore create beautifully
smooth tracking shots when on smooth surfaces, such as for my schoolscenes in the
corridors. Thelegs can be folded inwards and shortened so that I can carry it to any film
location.
