- 1. MILLIE NELMES PRODUCTION PLAN 4th November 2019 | 20th March 2020
- 2. My work plan is a document that I will use, alike many other companies, to organise my project. It outlines the plan by which the company plans to complete a project within a given amount of time and in compliance with a set budget. My workplan is for the short film in which I'm creating, called Secrets. I have broken down the activities needed, including, script writing, pre-production, filming footage, editing footage and final edits. I have added in the dates above to show the timescale, so I can achieve the film within the deadline. Additionally, I will keep my work plan up-to-date by adding in milestones when I've completed a task. I will have a set launch date of 20th July 2020. I have chosen this date due to the time of year, as children would've broken up from school. In addition, the parents may be after activities to do with their children. In this case, it would have to be children over 15. Furthermore, many blockbuster films are released in summer, therefore I have followed this idea.
- 4. CAST AND CREW I will need a teenage boy aged roughly 17-18 to play the character of Sebastian. I am thinking about using my boyfriend, as he has had previous experience with acting in shows. In addition, his age fits in with the character and the availability of him is useful too. He will need to be able to play a determined brother who will do anything for his sister. I will also need a young child aged 8-10 to play the role of Jemima. Her role will be key, yet on screen we won't see much of her besides the beginning and the end. I will use my little sister to play this character due to her age and also the easy access to her. She hasn't had any experience with acting although, she won't have any dialogue. Furthermore, I will need to cast an elderly woman as the neighbour. She will be the red-herring villain, and play a fairly large role for the audience. They will need to be roughly 60-70. I will use my Nan to play this role due to her age. In addition, she has also had previous experience with taking part in her local plays. Finally, I will need the key role as the mother (Juliet) and the father (Kevin). Both roughly aged 45-48, who will play the parents as well as the villains. I will use my parents to play the role of the parents due to their easy access and their age. I will won't need too many crew members, as I will be doing the filming and the sound myself. Additionally, I will be using equipment such as a tripod to help steady the footage. However, I may need help with costumes, makeup, hair and props. Furthermore, I may need a responsible adult to aid for health and safety reasons. Despite my risk assessment, I may need assistance to help with potential hazards.
- 5. I will have a budget to help assist buying props for the set, any makeup or hair products needed for the actors. In addition, due to change of location the costing of travel will be needed. However, I won't need any extra money for cameras, lights and any other equipment. This is due to the availability of the school's equipment. In addition, I also have a camera of my own, which I would probably use as well. The majority of my budget will presumably go towards costumes and props. Items such as a pearl bracelet and printing costs for the missing person's poster. I will set a budget of £20 for extras. This will include petrol for getting to each location, makeup including fake blood and a pearl bracelet. My contingency plan will consist of several back up SD cards, in case they run out of storage, using my personal camera as a back up. In addition, I will have a few spare actors due to any in fortune accidents which may suggest that they are unable to film. Furthermore, I will upload the footage to my personal laptop as well as the school's in case the system crashes, in attempt to not lose my footage or editing. In addition, I will always keep an eye on everything, for example, if I'm running low on fake blood, I will buy another. BUDGET & CONTINGENCY PLAN
