The production diary details four days of filming a student film project. On day one, the group scouted locations in Camden and Euston. On day two, they filmed establishing shots of the school and the opening scene outside. Day three involved multiple takes of a scene in the school bathroom focusing on different shot angles and lighting. On the fourth day, they filmed a faux-found footage scene of actors hugging outside the school, which looked effective despite rainy weather conditions.

1. Production diary.
Group meeting: before we started filming, we sat down and discussed who’s idea we
were going to choose to film the selected the props, settings that we could use and what
other kind of actors we needed for the trailer. We then selected the appropriate settings
for each of the scenes. Finally we debated about the script and changed what all the
actors should say, as the lines weren’t as well written.
Day 1:on the first day within the filming, our group decided to meet up and we walked
around Camden and Euston to see if we could find good ideas and place of what we could
do next which really helped with what we came up with as a group and individually, it
really worked as well, because the weathers mood and lighting was just right for the
shoot. The shot was filmed at approximately 12:00pm.
Day 2: the second day we got all the equipment together and the actors, we shot the
opening still image which was just a long shot of Haverstock school, which we thought
would be good as it set the scene, and was great as it helped with the first scene which
was outside of the school, then for the rest of the day we shot the first actual scene, we
did a lot of takes in the first scene as we felt the actors could do a lot more and put more
energy into their acting, the lighting was perfect for filming as there was a right amount
of light that was needed which set the mise en scene which was helpful for us, and for

Day3: on the third day we shot a scene involvingMustaf in a separate toilet in school and
did a lot of takes with different types of shot angles and decided which one worked
better, the lighting was exactly right as it wasn’t too dark and the sound of the tap
running was really effective as on the few first seconds you could only hear the water
running and it really set the mise en scene for what we were trying to achieve which was

2. silence with just a tap running and Mustaf washing his face and with his hands on his
head.
Day4: on the fourth day we shot a scene which was faux –found with Mustaf with the
camera filming myself and Zaudi hugging outside the school even though on this day the
weather was bad as it was raining, it looked effective and it also set the scene, but there
was the right amount of lighting.
