The parable tells the story of a man with two sons. The younger son asks for his inheritance early and leaves home, wasting his money. He ends up poor and feeding pigs. Realizing his father's servants live better, he returns home to ask for forgiveness. His father welcomes him back with open arms and throws a celebration for his return. The older son is angry about the celebration for his brother. The father explains his love and joy at his lost son's return.

2. There once was a man who had two sons.

3. The older son worked hard and obeyed all that his father told him to do.

4. The younger son liked to play and have fun. He wasn’t interested in working.

5. Was this a happy family?

6. One day, the younger son went to his father and said.

7. Dad, when you go you’re going to leave a ton of cash. Give me my half now!

8. OK, It’s your Choice. The father was shocked!

9. Far Away The younger son gathered all he had, and set off for a far away country.

11. Famine! Guess what happened next?

12. Nasty piggy niff The worst job ever!!! He had spent all he had, so he went and got a job feeding pigs!

13. OINK!! OINK!! OINK!! OINK!! OINK!!

14. Nasty piggy niff Finally, he came to his senses!

15. My father’s hired men have food to spare and here I am starving. I will return to my father and say to him…

16. I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired men.

17. Home So he headed home to his father.

18. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with love for him.

19. He ran to his son, threw his arms around him, and kissed him.

20. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.” “ Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.

21. Father I have sinned against heaven and against you... “ Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate.” Party Party

22. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.

23. The older brother was angry and refused to join the party. “ All these years I’ve worked for you. And in all that time you never gave me even one young goat for a feast with my friends.”

24. “ Look, my son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. But we celebrate this happy day because your brother was dead and is alive again. He was lost and is found!”

25. Just as the father in this story loved his sons, God, our Heavenly Father, loves his children. Even when we disappoint him and stray from what he has taught us, his love remains strong and he longs for our return. There is no end to our Heavenly Father’s love!!
