KOMPETENSI DASAR
• Membedakan fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan beberapa teks
prosedur lisan dan tulis dengan memberi dan meminta informasi terkait
manual penggunaan teknologi dan kiat-kiat (tips), pendek dan sederhana,
sesuai dengan konteks penggunaannya.
• Menyusun teks prosedur, lisan dan tulis, dalam bentuk manual terkait
penggunaan teknologi dan kiat-kiat (tips), dengan memperhatikan fungsi
sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan, secara benar dan sesuai konteks.
• Memahami (C2), menentukan (C3), menganalisis (C4),
membandingkan (C5) fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur
kebahasaan beberapa teks prosedur lisan dan tulis dengan
memberi dan meminta informasi terkait manual penggunaan
teknologi dan kiat-kiat (tips), pendek dan sederhana, sesuai
dengan konteks penggunaannya.
• Merancang (P2) kerangka teks prosedur dengan
memperhatikan fungsi sosial, struktur teks dan unsur
kebahasaan secara benar dan sesuai konteks.
• Membuat teks prosedur dengan memperhatikan fungsi sosial,
struktur teks dan unsur kebahasaan secara benar dan sesuai
konteks.

KOMPETENSI
In our daily life, we often
have to perform some steps
to make or get something
done. Most of our daily
activities are related with
procedures.That is why, you
should understand what a
procedure text is, how to
make and use it.
What is
procedure
text?
Procedure text is a text
which gives instructions
on how to do something.
It explain how something
works or how to use
instruction/operation
manual.
• To explain how to make or do
something.
• To explain how to get
somewhere.
• When a set of rules need to
be understood.

• Materials (telling the needed
material)
• Steps (describing the steps to
achieve the purpose)
Generic
Structure
Language Features
 Using simple present tense
 Using ordinal number/adverbial of sequence/Using temporal
conjunction/ (e.g: first, second, third, then, next, after that, the
last, finally, etc.)
 Using command / imperative sentence (e.g: put, cut, mix, boil,
dry, plug, open, etc.)
 Using adverbials (Adverbs) to express detail the time, place,
manner accurately, for example, for five minutes, 2 hours, etc.
How to Use a Copy Machine
1. Make sure the machine is powered on and
warmed up.
2. Check to make sure there is enough of the
correct size paper loaded into the machine.
3. Lift the feeder and check the glass to make
sure that there is no dirt, marks, or other
items left on top of the glass.
4. Place a single sheet (original) or item you
want copied face down on the glass in the
proper position (read and follow the guides).
5. Close the feeder on top of the glass and
your original.
6. Review the setup on the display to make
sure you have the right settings (e., color,
black & white, size paper, number of copies,
etc.)
7. Press the copy button.
8. Remove your copies and check them to
make sure that they are what you wanted
copied.
9. Remove the original and leave the machine
exactly as you found it for the next person in
your office to use.
How to Prevent Coronavirus Spread
1. Washing your hands for 20 seconds with
soap.
2. Avoid touching your face if you have not
washed your hand. The eyes, nose, and
mouth are the port entrance of virus into the
body.
3. Cover your nose and mouth when
coughing/sneezing with a tissue.
4. If you cannot find a place to wash your
hands, you can use a hand sanitizer which
contains at least 60% alcohol.
5. Avoid shaking hand. You can put your hands
together in front of your chest as a
substitute.
6. Make sure your nutritional intake is sufficient
and balanced
7. Do social distancing to reduce the possibility
of contracting or transmitting
8. Continue to take regular medications for free
existing diseases as usual. Postpone
unnecessary medical
appointments/procedures, but make sure
you enough medications at home until the
next appointment.
