5. Number vs Quality
In rural areas the status of man in
judged by the number of livestock he
owns, irrespective of their quality.
 Land Tenure System
Rangeland are
mostly tribal or village property
everybody in group is allowed grazing.
Nobody care for conservation which
result in degradation.

6.  Migratory herds
There is influence of foreing
animals in our range land can not be support
them.
 Arid climate pattern
Mostly rangeland in
pakistan lies in arid and semi arid zone. there
are frequent drought because very low rain fall
occurs in these areas.

7.  Scarcity of water
There is availability of
water even through of artificial means.
 Absence of management authority
Rangeland in Pakistan is under the
management of forest department, who pays
more attention on forest areas. So there should
be separate management authorities.

8.  Lack of awareness
Very few people who
awarded about rangeland . Degrees should
be awarded in range management.
 Participation
There is lack of participation of
local in effecting in range development
program

9.  Lack of fund
There is lack of fund for
development of range land.
 Livestock management
The main product of
range management is livestock , less attention
has been paid on their management.

There is need research in field of
range management
 Working incentives
As rage land difficult area to
be managed, official working there should be
given more incentive
Priority
Government should give priority to range
development.
