While digital textbooks save resources by being posted online instead of printed, they may limit classroom access if not all students can bring laptops. Some experts argue that students may not be fully ready to make the switch to digital textbooks due to issues around costs, standard formats, and questions of ownership. Efforts are being made to promote digital textbooks, like allowing online purchases and some professors only using online textbooks for their classes.
