This document discusses the electric field of a dipole. A dipole is made up of two equal and opposite charges separated by some distance. The electric field lines of a dipole emerge uniformly from one charge and terminate on the opposite charge, forming a symmetrical pattern around the dipole. The electric field strength is highest near the charges and decreases with increasing distance from the dipole.
