Problem Solution Essays
Writing an essay on the topic of "Problem Solution Essays" can be quite challenging, requiring a
thoughtful approach and a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. The difficulty lies
in not only identifying a significant problem but also in proposing practical and effective
solutions. This process demands critical thinking, research skills, and the ability to articulate
ideas coherently.
To start, one must carefully analyze the chosen problem, considering its root causes,
consequences, and the broader context in which it exists. Thorough research is essential to gather
relevant data and evidence that can support the proposed solutions. The challenge intensifies
when trying to strike a balance between proposing feasible solutions and ensuring they are
realistic and implementable in real-world scenarios.
Moreover, the essay should present a clear structure, beginning with a compelling introduction
that grabs the reader's attention, followed by a well-reasoned discussion of the problem and its
nuances. The proposed solutions must be articulated logically and backed by evidence. Crafting
a conclusion that succinctly summarizes the main points and leaves a lasting impression adds
another layer of complexity to the task.
Additionally, addressing potential counterarguments and demonstrating the feasibility of the
proposed solutions adds depth to the essay but requires extra effort. Balancing optimism with
realism is crucial, as solutions should be both innovative and attainable.
In conclusion, writing a problem solution essay involves navigating through various challenges,
such as identifying significant problems, proposing practical solutions, conducting thorough
research, and presenting a well-structured and convincing argument. It demands a combination
of critical thinking, analytical skills, and effective communication.
If you find yourself struggling with such assignments, remember that help is available. Online
platforms like HelpWriting.net offer assistance in crafting essays on a variety of topics,
including problem solution essays. Professional writers can provide support and guidance to
make the writing process more manageable and ensure the delivery of high-quality, well-

History Writing Prompt Analysis
History Writing Prompt 2015 2016: Prompt 2 As the Revolutionary War faded in
Gunner s memory, another image filled his mind. The smell was one they
remembered from their adventures during the Revolutionary War. It was
gunpowder! Not another war , was all Gunner could think. As Gunner looked down,
he saw that they were dressed in a Union uniform.... Boom! A cannon whizzed past
my ear, nearly taking off my head! I looked around and saw death, from both sides,
but mainly I saw more fatalities in men dressed in Union uniforms. After retreating,
the general, whose name I found out to be Ulysses S. Grant, said that we had lost this
battle, the Battle of Bull Run. He said we were located in the state of Virginia, and
that we were to travel south, towards this state s capital, Richmond. For almost an
entire year, we regained our strength, tended... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Republicans don t want slavery to spread, and southerners base their living off of
the work of slaves. Without them, they wouldn t have anyone to do the hard work
for them. For that reason, the southern states started to secede, he finished. Wow!
But how did that start the war? Gunner asked. Lincoln said that to try to secede
was very illegal. He even went further to say that he would hold the Union together
by force if he had to, so I guess that called for an army, and an army usually calls for
war, the soldier finished. Speaking of war, get up soldiers! Today we march to
Richmond to face our foes, General McClellan said. I have a good feeling we ll
crush those confederates! he rallied. Knock on wood, many soldiers thought.
The union soldiers marched to Richmond and the battle began. The Union soldiers
quickly lost as General Lee began a series of attacks at Beaver Dam creek, which
caught them off guard. The next six days was a basic repeat of the day before, only
in a new location, with more casualties and more fatalities.

In the highly changeable hospitality world, there are different types of hospitality

On the other hand, cheaper prices can evoke perceptions of lower quality , which
is mentioned in an article written by Terri Zwierzynski in 2005. Therefore, price
can be adjusted by any consumer. It is because if they prefer more products and
services, there is a higher price for that type of hospitality product for sure.
Using air ticket as an example, it is not a must for the same price if two consumers
take the same flight from Hong Kong to Tokyo although they are seating at economic
cabin too. It is because if one consumer does not prefer too much restrictions (e.g.
Refund/Reroute) for his/er ticket, (s)he needs to pay more money to take the trip than
another consumer.
Using a consumer chooses two Hong Kong hotels (Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel at
Tuen Mun and Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel at Tsim Sha Tsui) as an example.
Compared on the same reservation date, the lowest price is HKD $1,950 and HKD
$4,200 respectively. At this situation, most consumers may consider Hong Kong Gold
Coast Hotel as their final accommodation when they travel to Hong Kong since it
provides an attractive price.
Therefore, consumers may demand for higher or lower price in related to their
required services.
2.3 Location
Actually, some consumers may put location and price factor as the same criteria to
consider when they are choosing hospitality products. However, accessibility time is
also important to be another
The Nazi Occupation of Holland
The Nazi Occupation of Holland
On May 14, 1940 Holland surrendered to German Forces, and Dr. Arthur Seyss
Inquart was appointed Reichkommissar, the highest governing authority. He watched
over a German administration that included many Austrian born Nazis. These Nazis,
in turn supervised the Dutch civil service. This configuration proved fateful for the
Jews of the Netherlands.
During 1940, the German occupation officials forbid
Jews from the civil service and required Jews to register the assets of their business.
In January of 1941, the German auth orities required all Jews to register themselves

The Gospel Of The Bible
The historical Jesus has always been a fascinating character, one who has sparked
controversy since the beginning of his time. For one, we have very little historical
proof of the life of Jesus, just writing from a Jewish Historian named Josephus,
whose writing has been confirmed by archaeological studies. (Fisher, 302). We also
have writings about Jesuslife, in particular all that can be found in the bible. One
thing that is a constant mystery, that even the bible can t fully answer, is the
childhood of the historical Jesus. That is where the Infancy Gospelof Thomas comes
into play, as it outlines his life as a child. The Infancy Gospel according to Thomas
is believed to have been written sometime in the second century AD, with many
believing it was written after The Gospel according to Luke. But, other scholars
disagree with such findings. Some scholars feel that its core may have been
written even earlier than the canonical gospels. (Fisher, 305). Regardless, it is
important to note that this gospel didn t make the canon and that many doubt these
stories that are documented, ever existed. I think this gospel didn t make the
cannon because of how Jesus is portrayed, and how it doesn t add up to the rest of
the gospels. The Infancy Gospel of Thomas portrays Jesus as a fraction of his adult
self, who s disobedient, and an arrogant/stubborn kid who abuses his powers to upset
those around him. One thing that I think this gospel really tried to do, was make

Bureaucracy Defined By Max Weber
Introduction
Bureaucracy is a staple for the society we live in. the definition of bureaucracy
defined by Max Weber is that is constitutes the most efficient and rational way in
which one can organize human activity, and that systematic processes and organized
hierarchies were necessary to maintain order, maximize efficiency and eliminate
favoritism. We see this in our businesses, government, schools, hospitals, banks, and
every aspect of our society. There are always hierarchies in every aspect of life that
show us who is in charge and has the power, and the ones below them. This system
brings order and puts people in place to have an efficient society. Commonly,
bureaucracy shows the hierarchical structures in a negative light due to the absence
of individual freedom of initiative and the overuse of delegation. Bureaucracies
generally reward compliance, not defiance. In bureaucratic settings, one does not
typically advance by being the defiant, rugged, and fiercely independent
individualist of American folklore, but by going along to get along, being a team
player, following the rules and procedures, and slowly climbing the bureaucratic
ladder one step at a time (McNamee and Miller 2013:171 172). In the Film Office
Space bureaucracy is shown in a company called Initech . The film is about a
computer programmer named Peter Gibbons who is a rather depressed individual
who hates his job. During the course of the movie Peter becomes fed up with the
bureaucracy and so he

a.Attractive Product Design
IKEA employs more than 1,000 designers around the world who operate under
democratic design culture and apply the concept in practice on a daily basis. The
company is putting in the effort to integrate this notion to all of its products. IKEA
has developed the notion of democratic design which implies achieving an attractive
form, quality, functionality and sustainability at a low price. It is consistently
increasing the revenues of the business.
b.Market Leadership
IKEA is the largest furniture retailer around the world. The current leadership
position of the company provides considerable advantages in terms of the
economies of scale and at the same time creating an entry barrier for new
competitors. It is ready to achieve the target of EUR 50 billion annual sales by 2020.

Rifle Scope Research Paper
Out in the field, you need to make sure that you have high quality gear on you to
ensure that your hunt goes smoothly. Whether it s making sure that you stay warm
with thick, durable clothing, or having an adequate blade for when it s time to dress
your kill, the best gear can mean the difference between a successful hunt or an
unproductive day in the woods.
Of all the gear you can have, however, I would argue that one of the most important
pieces is your rifle scope. As a hunter, vision is probably your best asset, considering
that you have to see your target to ensure a proper kill. Today I ll be showing you
some of the best hunting scopes on the market so that you can get your next prey in
your crosshairs and not go home empty handed. ... Show more content on

Unfortunately, CVLIFE doesn t seem to name its scopes differently, so I ll just
refer to this one as the 50mm model. When talking about lens sizes, I like a larger
scope since it lets in more light and gives me better vision. Thus, this 50mm model
is a marked improvement over the previous 40mm version. However, you don t get
a laser sight on this scope, which may or may not be a bad thing, depending on how
much of a badass you want to be.
Other notable features of this unit include a variable zoom range of 6 24X, a multi
coated lens for better clarity overall, and the fact that it comes with rings to mount on
a 20mm Weaver Dovetail Rail. Unfortunately, the rings that come with the scope only
attach to that rail, so if you have something different (like a Picatinny), then you ll
need to get a different set of rings.

Introduction
The sales generated from a nostalgic record store is going to be highly dependent on
the selection, ease of finding rare records and music tracks, and the speed and
accuracy of research store personnel can accomplish for customers in the store and
online. There also needs to be a comprehensive financial management system in place
to keep track of costs, pricing, cost of service, and prepare financial statements on a
periodic basis. Most important is going to be staying in touch with a very specific
type of customer who is interested in nostalgic records. A Customer Relationship
Management (CRM) system will be critical for accomplishing this. With all of these
requirements it s essential for the store to have the following five systems:
Accounting and Financial Management System
CRM Software, delivered on the Software as a Service (SaaS) Platform
Website and electronic commerce system
Sales system for the store, or POS (Point Of Sale)
U.s. Should Adopt An Open Borders Policy
The U.S. should adopt an open borders policy in which all immigrants are welcomed.
Agreement: One thing that will never change throughout the history of the human
species is that we will continue to move. Whether it s to the next state, the next
country or to the next planet, travelling is in our destiny. There are many reasons
as to why people decide to get up and suddenly leave the homelike environment that
they have come to know. Sometimes it s war, sometimes it s poverty, and
sometimes it s just a need for change. Immigrants come in all shapes and sizes and
as a whole, they bring about many well needed additions to our country. A very
debatable question that has been stirring up a lot of controversy lately is whether or
not the U.S. should adopt an open borders policy. Looking at how immigration has
affected not only the U.S., but the rest of the world over the course of time, it is
easy to see how having an open borders policy will be the best option for the U.S.
When discussing the topic of immigration in the U.S., it is important to look back on
how it has helped shape our past. The U.S. was essentially built by immigrants. The
general increase in innovation since the beginning of the U.S. was greatly due to the
millions of immigrants that were coming to America in search for a better life.
Almost every city that s seen here in the U.S. today was built by immigrants and their
descendants. Every new mind entering our country, brought with it hundreds of new
ideas.

Oscar Romero Accomplishments

Cost Accounting Essay
Introduction
Cost accounting is used by most companies whether manufacturing or service to keep
track of their daily activities. It is essential in understanding the costs of running any
enterprise. In other words they aid in determining the costs of inputs and outputs used
in production. It involves analyzing and evaluating different approaches in order to
determine the most suitable method that management can use suitably and one that
can aid in future planning. Cost accounting is therefore an essential tool in decision
making. Decisions made may involve pricing levels, future investment, production
levels and coming up with a good competitive strategy. Different industries use
different cost accounting method depending on the type of services provided or
product manufactured. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another disadvantage of standard costing is that organizations which use it in most
cases usually react to matters instead of finding a proactive approach of mitigating
the errors. Inefficient processes are allowed to run and then cost comparison is done
between actual and normal cost. Management may then try to eliminate the variances.
This method works on the assumption that factors such as technology remain
constant which is not logical especially in this dynamic world where prices of
commodities keep on changing. This leads to organizations revising their standard
costing instead of taking corrective actions.
Standard costing cannot be used in companies that produce heterogeneous products
since it works only where the components and processes are the same and repeat
themselves and this result in production of identical goods and services. This does
not take into account customer preferences since customers need diverse types of
goods. This makes it difficult to be applied in many accounting
What Defines Human Nature And The Hierarchy Of
Human...
What defines human nature and the hierarchy of human relations? In this paper, I
will argue that Beauvoir s view that society constructs man, maleness, and the
masculine as the human standard (rendering woman, femaleness, and the feminine
deviant and defective) is flawed. Although Beauvoir s evidence was compelling I had
several issues with some of the finer details such as what term designates a human
being, that a woman s body is considered disadvantaged, and that femalenature is
defective. I also disagree with her statement that woman can t think of herself without
man, woman is only a symbol of sex to man, and that man and woman are the Self
and the Other.
Firstly, Beauvoir argues that man represents the positive and the neutral while
woman represents only the negative. I feel that this statement is saying that woman
is only what man are not. By making this assumption I infer that Beauvoir feels
woman is only considered when man has reached the limits of their reach.
However, I believe that man the line separating man and woman is inconclusive in
its stance. When looking at what is considered masculine and what is considered
feminine, there are some relatable similarities. For example, the work ethic of a
man at work is similar to the work ethic of a woman at home. A man would be
expected to complete his work load in a proficient manner and bring home money to
the family. A woman would be expected to care for the family and the home in a
proficient and timely

117 Years of Excellence; this is the header of the Company History section of
Lincoln Electric s website. I began the analysis at the careers section, looking
through a variety of job descriptions and qualifications. The common requirements
for management on the site are a Bachelor s degree (Masters preferred), 5+ years of
previous managementexperience, experience with Lean/Six Sigma tools to create
impactful business improvements, proven experience in implementing and/or
running an operation in an SAP environment, high level of integrity, confidentially,
and accountability, sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution
skills, a well defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict
resolution, and people management skills.
As stated in the assignment profile, Lincoln Electric is considered one of the best
managed companies in the world. I believe this to be partially attributed to their
hiring process. Lincoln Electric has strict requirements to weed through unqualified
candidates who will not buy in to the company culture of excellence. This is an
especially important aspect of their hiring process particularly due to the fact of
leadership a trait that plays a vital role in implementing and sustaining a company s
culture.
Leaders forge the path for a culture, and culture isn t created in a day. After the death
of James F. Lincoln it was widely suspected that the company would falter. The

November 1949 in Besançon, a city in Eastern France, making him now 64 years

His mother believed in cookinghealthy, local, fresh produce which was full of

During Blanc s first job in a restaurant, he criticised the head chef for his lazy

The United Arab Emirates And India
Traveling the world opens up the mind to new ways of thinking. Everyone wants to
travel; they just aren t sure about where they want to go. People can choose from
thousands of places around the world; however when deciding whether to vacation in
India or the United Arab Emirates(UAE), there are many factors to consider. The
United Arab Emiratesand India have an innumerable amount of differences; because
of this, these places attract different people. For a significant number of reasons,
the United Arab Emirates is a worthier place to vacation compared to India. Living
standards in India and the United Arab Emirates are significantly different to each
other. The United Arab Emirates has better living standards when compared to
India. With a population of 1.31 billion people, India remains much more
populated than the UAE; 1,300,840,000 more people live in India when compared
to the UAE( United Arab Emirates vs India ). The difference in these numbers is
immense. India being so populated results in chaos and louder streets (Brown,
Poirier). This doesn t sound like a place anyone would want to vacation. When
searching for a place to vacation, most people prefer places that aren t so crowded
and polluted. Because of this, the UAE remains the best choice for a vacation spot.
The UAE isn t anywhere near as crowded and chaotic as India. Tourists can move
around the country without feeling overwhelmed all the time by the amount of
people around them. In addition to India being
Impact Of Social Media On Lodging Performance 2012
Essay
INTRODUCTION
In the current economic aura, it is not advisable for the hotel industry to rely on
conventional techniques of promoting economic growth and increasing prices which
may lead a situation where the travelers may book hotels elsewhere. The hotel
industry operates in a competitive market structure and in order to gain competitive
advantage, brands, hotel owners and operators must capitalize on social media,
mobile and analytics and make their business customer centric. This would help them
to gain in the long run.
Any industry s image is built based on the better views it obtains and also earns
better revenues. This is true in case of the hotel industry as well. Hotels with large
volume of booking and pricing strategy that attracts customer can obtain a good
review in the market. The impact of Social Media on Lodging Performance 2012 a
study by Cornell s Center for Hospitality Research revealed that the guest

Ryanair Case Study
1.Ryan air s success can be attributed to a few factors. First would be its Ever
decreasing costs mantra, providing low cost, low fares and no frills carrier strategy
while achieving operating efficiency and satisfying its customers which gives it a
competitive advantage and cost leadership. It targets price sensitive customers and
offers them the cheapest short haul service among all its competitors in the market.
Ryanair gives much focus on keeping costs low and is constantly examining every
area of its operation to implement cost reductions. The initiatives taken to keep costs
low include:
Using Boeing 737 planes to have a fleet commonality in order to minimize staff
trainings and aircraft maintenance costs.
Web check in facility that not only was loved by passengers but also helped Ryanair
in reducing staff and printing costs.
Point to point routes to avoid transfer costs of passengers.
Less airport charges by choosing secondary airports that were less congested and
away from the city centres and were looking to increase customer traffic.
Secondly, Ryanair keeps growing as a budget airlineby focusing on growth,
expansion and operational efficiency as it keeps adding new bases, routes and
aircrafts and disposing older and less efficient planes. Initially after 1996, Ryanair
did not pay out dividends on its shares instead retained those earnings to grow the
operations and services of the company till 2010 when the company had achieved a

The Golden Age Of Piracy
Hollywood portrays pirates as swashbuckling outlaws with their own set of rules and
loose morals, nefarious hideouts, and adventure at every turn of their lives; but that s
Hollywood. During the Golden Age of Piracy, about 1550 to 1730, pirates did
traverse the Atlantic almost completely unchallenged; producing some of the most
notorious pirates and privateers the world had ever seen. But not all of these pirates
were outlaws, most were actually legal. And their hideouts weren t really hideouts at
all; just cities that were afraid of the Spanish and thought the pirates could protect
them. And adventure? Well, some of the best and most infamous pirates didn t want
the epic battles that are pictured in many of today s films. Something else... Show

Question two; how did entire cities and islands become pirate hideouts? During the
early Colonial era, the Spanish reigned supreme in the Caribbean. They were
rapidly colonizing the islands of the Caribbean and gaining wealth with every step.
These cities were afraid of being overthrown by the Spanish and wanted protection
from these invaders. One of the first to offer up their ports was Port Royal,
Jamaica. . Port Royal became one of the most infamous pirate hideouts of all time
and was considered the wickedest city on Earth . It all started in the mid 1600s
when Jamaica s governors decided to allow all pirates and privateers, who were
not Spanish, to stay in return for protection from the Spanish. And of course, they
accepted. Soon after the city was filled with British and French privateers,
including the famous Sir Henry Morgan who used Port Royal as a sort of home
base for his raids on Spanish strongholds such as Portobello, Caratenga, and Panama
City. By the 1660s, Port Royal was filled with every disreputable establishment
known to mankind. But by 1720, Jamaica had to cut relations with the pirates due to
raids on every ship that came into port. Port Royal then became known for pirate
hangings. Other cities and islands like New Providence, Bahamas, have similar
stories to tell. But one other island has a different story. Around 1630, French hunters,
who occupied Hispaniola, modern day Haiti, had to flee the island
Spanish Conquistador John Houser
John Houser had a determination to relive his father s career passion as an assistant
carver. When the El Paso City council assigned a large scale project of the Spanish
conquistador: Juan de Onate, Houser grasped the project and wanted to create the
largest bronze statue in the world. He envisioned the statue as a long overdue
contribution mission to embrace and represent the contributions of the Hispanic
culture and history to the United States. His vision of this great project was
completely different from the area s Native Americans point of view. The Native
Americans saw horror and discrimination in this statue because of their own personal
memories of Onate. From the memories of this conquistador, they recalled brutal
massacres and slavery.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This decision would be finalized by going from house to house for opinions of the
project and conducting research of who Onate was. I honestly believe that if each
official in the El Paso City Council was to make a decision based on these methods,
they would go against the Houser project for sure. The arguments made by the
groups testifying were based on the objective whether or not the project should be
completed. The side that testified that the completion of the sculpture shouldn t be
accomplished had a claim that correlated to who Onate was. From the claims made,
they made a point that Onate was a man who slaughtered, killed, raped people to
steal their land. He treated them with disrespect and building a sculpture of him and
putting it in the middle of El Paso, would bring shame to the city because he was a
murder, not someone who anyone should look up to. Art has a powerful meaning
attached to it, and the sculpture to the Native Americans represented racism and
reminded them of the terror their ancestors went through which was overall a
traumatic experience. The people who supported the sculpture did not really know
who Onate was, all they cared about was publicity and history needed to be
recognized and appreciated. My position in tearing down this project apart would
definitely represent the traditionalism subculture because this position does not
appreciate this government s

Artificial Intelligence, an acronym for AI. It is a new technical science in the

manage the daily life of people, but also can become one of the family members to

Albert Bandura Social Cognitive Theory
ALBERT BANDURA S SOCIAL COGNITIVE
INTRODUCTION
Bandura s social cognitive theory highlighted the importance of observing and
modeling the behaviors, attitudes, and emotional reactions of others. Albert Bandura
developed this theory which was influenced by social behavior theories. This is
because he believed that learning theories in vogue at that time and resulted in
incomplete explanations of the acquisition and performance of prosocial and deviant
behavior (Schunk, 2000). According to Nevid (2009), social cognitive theory
proposes that individuals do not simply respond to environmental influences, but
rather they actively seek and interpret information. Children observe the people
around them behaving in various ways as illustrated during the famous bobo doll
experiment (Bandura, 1961 as cited by McLeod, 2011). When children learn, they
have their own aim or motive such as solve a problem, finish their homework or
complete some experiments. With these aim to accomplish, they observe, judge and
react to their perceived progress. As what Schunk (2000) had cited Bandura (1986),

First, usually children are likely to mimic or imitate those people it perceives as
similar to itself or when they think if they imitate the model, they can succeed in
accomplishing something. Then, the people around them will give respond or
feedback to the behavior they imitate with either reinforcement or punishment. If a
child imitates a model s behavior and the consequences are rewarding, the child is
likely to continue performing the behavior and vice versa. Children will also take
into account of what happens to other people when they decide whether or not to
copy someone s actions. Some applications of this social learning theory that teachers
can apply in the classroom learning and teaching are teacher as a role model for
students, choices of teaching materials, controlled drilling activity in classroom and

These sequences are sourced from Subunit 1 of the Cytochrome Oxidase gene in the

Question Three
There appears to be a greater interspecific variation along this fragment every three
base pairs, which would suggest a non random pattern. During translation of the DNA
sequence, tRNA anticodons bind to DNA codons specifically, in order to translate
the correct amino acid sequence. However, there is plasticity associated with the
third codon position of each tRNA anticodon. This means that changes can occur on
the third base pair of a codon without changing the amino acid that codon codes for
the translation of, and therefore without disrupting the amino acid sequence. This is
likely why greater variation is observed every third base pair, as it is not naturally

Ethnic Conflicts in Nigeria
The military elites made the situation even worse by staging coups and making a
mockery of democracy in Nigeria. The military era was marked by corruption,
ineptitude and confusion. It drove Nigeria into many problems including economic
problems, poverty, and ethno religious conflicts until the 1990s. The military
continued intervening because they believed the civilian leaders were inept and
indecisive.
Ethnic conflicts continued to escalate through the democratic transition in Nigeria, as
various ethnic groups demanded political restructuring. The federal structure has
developed deep cracks and demands urgent action to fix it. What is most worrisome
in Nigeria is the religious dimension of ethnic conflict and competition for power and
oil wealth. The numerous ethno religious conflicts that the northern cities of Kaduna,
Kano, Jos and Zamfara have witnessed, came about from the introduction of Muslim
Sharia courts, in addition to the South s demands for autonomy. The continuing
conflict is a sign Nigeria s lack of effective mechanisms to manage ethnic conflicts.
The intense ethnic conflicts that rocked Nigeria and South Africa have pushed them
to develop constitutionally backed institutions for conflict management. In South
Africa, the state has prevented further conflicts by developing multiple democratic
approaches to create a foundation for peace and security. The new constitutioncrafted
an impressive document aimed to heal the wounds of the past and to build a

Generate more income by placing items online
This would attract more customers since it would make it convenient for people to
do their shopping on line. More and exciting opportunities might arise and make way
for possible expansion of the business.
BUISNESS CAPABILITIES
Generate payment notices By the company reaching out to customers and working
with them on how to repay the item purchase it generates a professional environment
while still maintaining essentials of running a business.
Ranking system to track customers By having a ranking system, the company could
keep track of those customers that frequent the most, pay on time, or non payment
making customers.
Organize sale dates with seasons and holidays This would help promote and foster a
system that could generate dates and holidays for special sales and savings. It would
calculate how much of an item would have to be on hand in order for the company to
meet its supply and demand.
Ability to shop online With the added ability and luxury to be able to shop on
creates a new source of revenue for the Business. It enables companies, in this case
EFUJ, to promote, sale, and reach to a variety of demographics.

The World s Oldest Profession
The World s Oldest Profession Prostitution is considered to be one of the world s
oldest professions. Prostitution is the occupation of engaging in sexual activity with
someone for payment. Humans have been exchanging sex and money for thousands
of years and it is something that persists today. In SuperFreakonomics Steven Levitt
and Stephen Dubner explain that prostitutionemerged due to the sexual desire of
men. Men wanted more sex than they were able to receive for free. This created a
market in which they were willing to pay for sex, and women, for the right price,
were willing to satisfy that need (Levitt Dubner 23). Today it is a controversial issue
because in the United States it is not legal, however in the state Nevada it... Show

Criminalizing prostitution takes away people s right to decide for themselves
what they consent to. It is very similar to the legalization of weed, the selling of
weed is comparable to any other service. Since the legalization of weed, it has
allowed people to consent to what they want. Veronica Monet, a former prostitute
and author says she chose sex work for money, independence, and freedom. She
explained the importance behind the feeling of independence and freedom. She was
able to choose her future and gave consent to the service she was providing
(Monet). She argues that sex work can be dignified, honest and honorable because
she was able to make the choice to engage and supply the service. Prostitution can be
a victimless crime (Monet). If both parties give consent, there is no victim therefore
there is no crime.
By opening this profession to adults that consent to do it, it could generate more
taxes and benefit the government. Currently, it is legal and well regulated in ten
counties in Nevada (Katz 5). In Encyclopedia of White Collar Corporate Crime,
Rebecca Katz concludes that there was a $40 million taxable profit from the thirty
five licensed brothels in Nevada in the first six months they were open in 2013 (Katz

French beauty is a concept, an ideal that emerged in the 1960 s with the help of
movies that build a real myth concerning the appearance of french women. One
icon from that time was Brigitte Bardot, along with Catherine Deneuve and other
french actresses. They all looked similar, and did not represent th e majority of
french women. It can be argued that their legacy did not continue. Between you

how their life has been changed by commiting suicide. Various communities were

about suicide in Philadelphia through Finding the Light Within (Burns, 2012).
Research on art therapy shows that there are numerous positive psychological and

The Last Bookshop
It is another cloudy and grey day in my town; as usual I open my bookshop, just in
case that one customer comes. Books are getting old you know, people just don t

I own the last bookshop in the whole world. I have got thousands of books and all of

Employee Empowerment
Working together may be crucial since the individual functions of these two
departments are not the same. The most important function of Organizational
Development is to align the mission, values, and culture of the entire organization to
create partnerships between employees and management. Their emphasis is on
connecting the employees and departments to work as a team by instilling the

Increasing employee satisfaction can be as easy as changing the culture to
empowerment in the workplace which begins with communication, encouraging
feedback and giving team members the ability to make more decisions. This approach
will have a direct relationship between employee satisfaction and overall
performance. As the team member s performance improves so does the individual s
confidence and commitment to the company. That confidence in empowered
employees can also be andisadvantage for organizations. Leaders have concerns of
increased arrogance in individuals because encouraging employee empowerment
creates a sense of overconfidence in team members. They are making important
decisions without supervision and taking more risks. Although this is all a part of the
empowerment principles, taking risks can be successful and they can also be failures.
Employee empowerment requires a strong and lasting commitment from an
organization s management (p. 2) and that may require changing the culture or
management style of the organization (Emerson, 2012). Many older and long term
team members are also resistant to learning new things or accepting changes but in
order to make this change a success, it will take the entire organization s commitment.
But these programs will only succeed if the team member is motivated and has a
desire for professional growth. The reality is that many employees are
St. Jones By Synecdoche
Throughout Literature the reader often finds themselves thrust into the world of
its author, this world relies heavily upon imagery to assist in the formation of this
world. In saying this, however, a significant amount of this literary world derived
from text is lost due to it being written from the point of view of the recorder, this
is even more true in regards to history. Narrowing down the notion of historical
point of view, the reader must often times seek out information from both sides to
get a pure account of the past and are scarcely ever given a completely unbiased
historical account due to the primary ascender being given free reign as to what will

Lucia, is the concept that areas having seen poverty and hardship do not tend to
rise, heal, and grow from the past without there being some kind of force behind it
but instead these areas often take a more dramatic and less sought after turn. These
echos of past pain become places wrought with violence, corruption, and crime
which leave behind any hope for a better future but instead give way to a great fall.
Using synecdoche the reader is able to vividly see the downward spiral of the people

higher place into what now seems like chaos but also because the use of
synecdoche is still engrained here in the text because a comet was at one point a

also assist in the idea that at as the people of the island further descend into difficult
times they begin to become more chaotic until the comet or in this case people reach

In the story Dracula the author shows these traits in various sections of the story that
makes it a lot more interesting and it is one of the main characteristics beside the
various other features that makes this story great. Draculais a story by Mr. Bram

This quote tells us how the author displays horror and tries to show these traits so
as to engage the audience in the story, they make the story more interesting and fun
to read. Passos Jona in her well credited article Postmodern Gothic: Teen Vampires
states In Gothic Studies, Dracula, 1 has become a classic model of horror stories,
granting its main character, Count Dracula, a life of his own outside the scope of
the novel as a sort of popular myth or archetype of vampire characters (Passos 1).
This article by Passos explains why Dracula is one of the best Gothic horror novels
and how horror is being portrayed in the novel. She talks about how Count Dracula
shows horror and different sexual meanings hidden in the story.
The Gothic trait, setting defines the surroundings and the place where the story
takes place which enhances the beauty of the literary text and lets the reader
imagine where the scene is taking place. The setting of Dracula is in Transylvania
during the Victorian era, the setting in the story helps to build up a plot in the story
and explain it in an exclusive way. In Mr.Bram Stoker s book Dracula, Jonathan
Harker in his diary states that The castle is on the very edge of a terrible precipice.
A stone falling from the window would fall a thousand feet without touching

Prophecy In The Aeneid
The function of prophecy manifests itself in many ways in the Aeneid. Throughout
the epic, prophecies and omens act as the agents behind Aeneas fulfilling his destiny
as well as providing clear social commentary on the dawn of the Roman Empire
under Emperor Augustus. Even though not all of the prophecies and omens included
in the epic come to pass in literary terms, Virgils inclusion of prophecy is of
paramount importance for driving the plot forward. In this essay I will discuss the
function of both internal and external prophecy and the effect these prophecies have
on both the characters in the epic and the enjoyment of the reader from The Roman
Empire until the present day.
It is clear that internal prophecies are of integral importance ... Show more content on

In Book Four, Virgil describes how Dido, utterly heartbroken by Aeneas desertion,
prays to the gods to curse him (TA: 12.973 4):
... let him be plagued in war by a nation proud in arms, torn from his borders,
wrenched from Iulus embrace, let him grovel for help and watch his people die a
shameful death... may he never enjoy his realm... let him die before his day, unburied
on some desolate beach.
In this instance, Dido s prophecy does not come to pass in the epic although there
is an anxiety created for the reader that this fate is a possibility for Aeneas.
However The Punic Wars , which broke out between Rome and Carthage in the 3rd
and 2nd Centuries B.C. (Lazenby, 1996: XV) would seem to be the fulfillment of
the curse Dido places on Aeneas and his future when he abandons her and sails to
Italy to fulfill his fate. The internal failure of Dido s curse reminds us however that
Aeneas is a slave to an altogether more important and powerful prophecy: the
prophecy of Rome. Additionally, as an oriental queen, we must remember how
Dido along with the other women from the old world, held little to no place in the
vision of the new Rome. I believe the way in which Aeneas treats those who are not
directly included in his prophecy; particularly in this scene, raises interesting ideas
about Aeneas character. It is easy for the reader to forget that he is not born a hero
like the epic heroes who came before him like Odysseus, rather he becomes one as
the story progresses. He is therefore forgiven any human errors of judgement,
including deserting Dido in favour of fulfilling his

Essay On Hippocampus
3. Review of literature
3.1 The hippocampus and Cognition
Hippocampus belongs to the limbic system of the brain. In 1960, O Keefe and Lynn
Nadel continued to investigate the functions of hippocampus. The behavioural
inhibition theory was defined and justified many questions regarding functions of
hippocampus. Eventually their investigations have been published an influential
book, The Hippocampus as a Cognitive Map (O Keefe et al, 1978). The spatial
coding such as spatial memory and navigation is the functions of hippocampus are
universally accepted as with the memory theory (Nadel et al, 1975; Moser et al,
2008). Simultaneously full fledged work was conducted to investigate the functions
of the hippocampus related with anxiety. Connections between cerebral cortex and

This electrophysiological study showed that the possible cause of neuronal deficit is
by back propagation of action potentials (bAPs) and Ca2+ transient currents altered
after chronic alcohol exposure in vitro model. These electrophysiological changes
affect metaplasticity and signal transduction in hippocampal neurons (Patrick et al,
2015). Immediate and early gene studies implicate the role of Hippocampus
dependent and hippocampus independent amnesic features in alcohol induced
memory impairment animal models. The repeated doses of ethanol (.5mg 2mg/kg

the behavioural deficits. They concluded that elucidation of neurotransmitter systems
is most important in alcohol related cognitive disorders. (Ryabinin et al., 1998).
Similar studies have focused the effects of psychotrophic drugs and drugs of abuse
such as cocaine, opioids, nicotine and alcohol on hippocampal neurogenesis. They
have shown the negative results of neural proliferation and cell survival. (He et al,
Comparing The Sun And The Moon In One Day In The Life
Of...
The sun and the moon have long been seen as a dichotomy through various cultures.
Day and night, hot and cold; the list can continue with different interpretations. But,
in a Gulag labour camp, where a convict s thoughts are no freer than he is (40)
subjected only to the unjust oppression by the Soviet government their ideas of what
the sunand mooncan mean is significantly repressed to ideas of misfortunes that are
perpetuated by the camp and the government. In Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn s novel, One
Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich, the sun and the moon are symbols of two ideas
that derive from the prisoner s experience in the Gulag camp: incarceration and
enlightenment. Although the sun is often thought as empowering, the prisoners...

The novel explores what life might be like outside of camp on one occasion, when
Ivan Denisovich s wife sent him a letter about carpet dyeing. Despite having an
opportunity outside of camp, Denisovich was indifferent because he lost the habit
of scheming how he was going to feed his family (44). The guards give prisoners
work to do, and that is the prisoner s only purpose in life once they are incarcerated.
How the sun represents incarceration despite the sun s lively connotations, it
transcends the confusion that the labour camp and the Soviet government were
stirring in the prisoner s head. Using the moon s symbolism, it leads prisoners and
the readers to contemplate on this underlying turmoil. But even though life in
prison is difficult, somehow life was easier (44) because Denisovich did not have
to bear the burden of his family. He was also questioning if life was easier here or
there (178). This seemingly unquestionable conclusion that a life of liberty outside of
camp is much easier than a life of incarceration inside of camp is being obfuscated by
the Soviet government. The prisoners no longer know what they want, and this
confusion alludes to how the Soviet government is wrecking havoc both in the camps
and the nation. Solzhenitsyn was trying to convey this idea through One Day in the

Social Networking Furthers Participation and

Visiting the websites of our official Canadian political parties, some of the first
images we recognize may be a large white F on a blue background, or a small bird
with a soft blue T. Although it is hard to describe an iconic symbol in text, we can
vividly picture the logos of the most popular social networks such as Facebook and
Twitter. Twitter particularly has allowed public citizens access to a different side
of the world s leaders that we look to for answers and change. Participation and
open communication in political democracy is promoted by social networking
services. Citizens can easily feel informed and up to date and many view this now as
a right and a need, no longer a want or wish. These are the kinds of services our

Another great example of the political power that Twitter harnesses on a global scale
is the democratic election in Iran during the summer of 2009. Twitter was used
extensively in both of these examples as a means to communicate.
Co creators and founders Jack Dorsey, Evan Williams, and Biz Stone launched
Twitter.com on March 21, 2010. The first message ever posted was by co creator,
Jack Dorsey. Twitter is a free online service that allows you to send messages to
hundreds, or even millions, of your subscribers known as followers, all at the same
time. Your Twitter followers receive an alert each time you send a new message
either on their mobile phone or their computer. These messages, also known as
tweets, are limited to 140 characters maximum allowing updates to be kept short and
concise. This social network service has exploded in popularity since its debut and
has more than 23 million unique visitors on average per month in the United States
alone (Site Profile for twitter.com(rank #41)). Anybody can sign up, acquire a
username and discuss any sort of topic that they want to with others. Inserting the @
symbol before a username allows you to reply to another Twitter user and initiate a
conversation, a lot like an email reply. The constant availability, ease of use, and
openness of the service has promoted its drastically quick growth. Top business

United States Agricultural Stakeholder Views And Actions...
Executive Summary
The following literature review summarizes research on United States agricultural
stakeholder views and actions towards climate change, including extreme weather,
adaptation and mitigation measures, and climate forecasting tools. The majority of
references discussed are from 2000 2015 and are peer reviewed journal articles
containing surveys and interviews; we also include relevant non peer reviewed
reports. The review focuses on the attitudes and actions of United States farmers,
ranchers, university researchers, extension educators, agriculture advisors, and other
agricultural stakeholders towards climate change. We focus particularly on the

The Stress Of Standardized Tests
The Stress of Standardized Tests
Many know the stressful feeling of having to take the ACT. The exam room fills
slowly with worried faces and remains quiet until the test stars. Students grasp their
pencils tightly, their palms sweating with the thought of their future at stake with this
single test. In order to get into any college, an ACT or SATscore is required. These
required scores for admission vary from school to school which can make it difficult
for every student to attend their dream school. A single test will determine who can
and cannot attend a certain college. With this system, it can deny students with
potential in certain fields a place in a college because they might not test well.
College admission should not be based on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Currently, all colleges require either an ACT or SAT score for admission. With this
rule, it limits who can attend a college and thins out many students who may have
academic potential.
Problem: This Needs Fixed
Not only does standardized testing limit students from attending the college of their
dreams, it also puts a large amount of stress on students and teachers and the test do
not test for necessary skills needed in the real world. With this current system,
students are limited to what schools they can get into. By only allowing students with
a certain score into a school, this makes it unequal to all students. This then does not
allow students that have potential in classes at that college to truly be happy at the
college they end up in. The test seems to determine an individual s potential by their
ability to retain information they learned in years past. Not every career will require
in depth knowledge of algebraic formulas or scientific methods taught in school,
therefore, to require students to test high on the ACT or SAT when the career they
want to pursue may not require certain knowledge that is tested seems illogical. By
making standardized tests less important in determining college admission, all
students would have equal opportunity to attend the college they want.
Standardized testing can bring on a lot of stress for both students and teachers. A

Diabetes Mellitus Essay examples
Diabetes mellitus (DM) or simply diabetes, is a chronic health condition in which
the body either fails to produce the amount of insulin needed or it responds
inadequately to the insulin secreted by the pancreas. The three primary types of
diabetes are: Diabetes Type 1 and 2, and during some pregnancies, Gestational
diabetes. The clichГ© for all three types of diabetes is high glucose blood levels or
hyperglycemia. The pathophysiology of all types of diabetes mellitusis related to the
hormone insulin, which is secreted by the beta cells of the pancreas. This hormone is
responsible for maintaining an optimal glucose level in the blood. It allows the body
cells to use glucose as a main energy source. Due to abnormal insulin metabolism, in
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With gestational diabetes it is glucose intolerance during pregnancy in a woman not
previously diagnosed with diabetes. It may occur if placental hormones counteract
insulin, causing insulin resistance.
The exact cause of type 1 diabetes mellitus, previously known as insulin dependent
diabetes mellitus, is unknown. What we know today is that in most people with
type 1, their body s own immune system which normally fights against infections
mistakenly destroys the beta cells of the pancreas making insulin secretion
impossible. Genetics also plays a role in this process, and exposure to certain
viruses could trigger the disease. Whatever the cause, once 90% or more of the beta
cells are destroyed, the pancreas will produce little or no insulin. In type 1 diabetes
due to the lack of insulin, the glucose is not able to enter the cells to be used for
energy and instead it builds up into the bloodstream, where it can cause life
threatening complications.
The cause of type 1 diabetes is different from the cause of the more common type 2
diabetes in which the beta cells of the pancreas are still functioning, but the body
becomes resistant to insulin or the pancreas is not able to produce enough insulin or
both.
The early symptoms of untreated diabetes are related to elevated blood sugar levels
and loss of glucose in urine. High amount of glucose in urine can lead to increased
urine output and dehydration. Insulin deficiency can lead to weight loss despite the
polyphagia.
The Department Of Alcohol, Tobacco, And Firearms
For our third assignment for Criminal Justices we must answer questions about the
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, U.S. Marshals Service, and U.S. Drug
Enforcement Administration. We must answer the following question: What are the
mission or goal of these agencies? When were they established? Briefly discuss
each of the agencies history. Discuss some of the difference between these agencies.
The first agency is called the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. The mission
for the ATF is a Law enforcement agency in the United State Department of Justice
that protects our communities from violent criminals, criminal organizations, the
illegal use and trafficking of firearms, the illegal use and storage of explosives, acts
of arson and bombings, acts of terrorism, and the illegal diversion of alcohol and
tobacco products . They partner with communities, industries, and public safety
agencies to protect the public they serve through information sharing, training,
research and use of technology. ATF was established on July 1, 1972. The ATF was
formerly part of the United StatesDepartment of the Treasury, which had been
formed in 1886 as the Revenue Laboratory within the Treasury Department s Bureau
of Internal Revenue. ATF is the youngest tax collecting Treasury agency, separated
from the Internal Revenue Service by Treasury Department Order No. 120 1, since 1
July 1972. Also, in 1789 under the new Constitution, the first Congress imposed a tax

Benefits Of College Education
A college education is one of the most important things in life. It determines
whether you will be able to follow your dreams and have a job that you are
passionate about. Although some people may think that it will lead to more bad
than good and that it will cost the United States a lot of money, college should be
free because it is the only fair way that everyone would be able to have the same
opportunity to get a good educationand it will benefit, not only the students, but the
nation as a whole.
The future of the United States is in the hands of its next generation. Education is
one of, if not, the most important factors that have a great role in deciding whether
the future of America will end up badly or not. As a result, it should be the biggest
priority to make it available for everyone. Many people believe that the education
system is already perfect. However, it does need many improvements that would
make it much more efficient than it is.
The cost of going to college is one of the first things that people think about when
applying to their favorite college. If this price is too high or unaffordable to a
person, many people choose to just ignore education and find a normal job that they
will most likely not enjoy. Excessive prices for the college tuition can also stay with
the student throughout a long period of their life. The debt that they will have
ultimately change their way of living and cause them to not live their life fully.

Dialectical Journal For To Kill A Mockingbird
I am reading the novel, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. In chapters 1 3, a girl
nicknamed Scout introduces her home of Maycomb County, Alabama in which
she has scary neighbors and a new friend that comes there. She goes to her first day
of school and gets in trouble for an unknown reason to her. Then, the rude Ewell
family is introduced and described, and Scout talks to her father about not going to
school. In this journal, I will be predicting the kids will not meet Boo because he is

Here, it shows that since the kids never saw Boo, he must be locked up and is not
able to come outside. Another reason the kids think he is locked up is because the
doors of the Radley place are always closed. The text says, The doors of the Radley
house were closed on weekdays as well as Sundays, and Mr. Radley s boy was not
seen again for fifteen years (Lee 13). This shows, Boo is locked up because their
doors were closed so no one would see that Boo was locked up, and he was not
seen again. The third reason the kids think he is locked up is because he never
came out of the house when Mr. Radley died. Instead, his older brother returned
most likely to keep Boo locked up in the house. Boo s older brother would not have
come home if it were not for having to keep an eye on him. Next, the kids are
scared. The first reason they are scared is because they say the Radley pecans that
fall in the schoolyard will kill you if you eat them. The book says, ...but the nuts lay
untouched by the children: Radley pecans would kill you (Lee 11). Here, it shows
that they did not even touch the nuts, because they were so scared of anything that
had to do with the Radley s. One other reason they are scared is because
Indentured Servants In England s North American Colonies
Slaves existed in the England s North American colonies throughout the 1600s.
However, indentured servitude was very common before the 1680s. For half a
century or so after 1620, most laborers were indentured servants; only a small
proportion were African slaves (Clark, Hewitt, Brown Jaffee, 2007 p64). Indentured
servants were people who signed an indenture, a contract by which they agreed to
work for a serval number of years in exchange for transportation to colonies; in
addition, they would get food, clothing, land, and freedom. The first Indentured
servants in British colonies were introduced by the Virginia Company in 1619. At that
time, there was no slave law; they had same opportunities for freedom with whites.
However, in 1641, Massachusetts... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Between the 1620s and the 1650s, as the tobacco economy expanded, thousands of
English immigrants flocked to Virginia and Maryland (Clark, Hewitt, Brown

more people came to American colonies, the prosperity of the colonial economy,
and freed servants demand of land. The colonists realized that the indentured
servants might not the best option, and they need more cheap labor. Tobacco was
the main source of income for most of the colonists. To grow tobacco plantations
needed a significant amount of land and work force. African slaves were a low
price. Slaves labor produced a large number of profits for the plantation owners. By
the early eighteenth century, the rice grown on these plantations because South
Carolina s chief export, and planters turned almost exclusively to imported African
slaves for their workforce (Clark, Hewitt, Brown Jaffee, 2007 p87). By 1690, rice
was growing successful in Carolina, and the rice cultivation spread to Georgia as
well. Some African slaves had some experience of grow rice in West Africa, and
the planters imported more African slaves to grow rice. As rice economy growth,
the number of white servants in Carolinas and Georgia fell, and the population of

American Social Class Differences
Social Class Differences According to Brenda Allen in her book Difference
Matters, social class is associated with the allocation of power and resources. It is a
stratification system that is one of the biggest predictors of academic achievement. It
is widely held in the US that the more financial, cultural, and social capital
(Bourdieu) you have, the more likely you will get a better quality educationthat will
lead to a higher paying job. In the film, Idris and Seun come from different class
backgrounds. Even though they are both considered as members of the middle
class, Idris seems to have more capital because both of his parents are successful
professionals who are Ivy League graduates. Seun s parents do not have the
prestigious Ivy League background that Idris s parents do, but they are graduates of
Bingham University. His mother Stacey is a nurse care manager and his father
Tony is a systems engineer. Idris s parents are seen as being stricter on Idris to

other countries. The systematic and institutional inequality that the system requires

not experience the disadvantage of being female in a society that has a dominant
ideology of patriarchy. However, it is true for African American boys to be held back
in elementary school, [are] three times as likely to be suspended from school, and
half as likely to graduate from college a phenomenon known as the black male

and academic resources as their peers of other races, it is likely that they are to fall

Toddler Developmental Delays After Extensive...
Authors of, Toddler Developmental Delays after Extensive Hospitalization: Primary
Care Practitioner Guidelines Dana Lehner and Lois Sadler, investigated how
extensive pediatric hospitalization of thirty days or longer could lead to
developmental delays in toddlers. The investigation was conducted in order to raise
awareness about the factors associated with developmental delay in toddlers related
to the length of hospitalstay. This article states that the average length of stay for most
hospitalized children is around three to four days, which does not pose a threat to the
development of children. Thirty days or longer spent in a hospital setting, however,
typically requires intensive interventions than three or four day stays. Factors that
predominantly have an impact on appropriate age related development include factors
such as the type of health condition, the length of stay, adaptations and coping
mechanisms of the childas well as their family, the degree of parental involvement,
and the frequency of acute exacerbations (Lehner, 2015). Authors Lehner and Sadler
stress the importance of noticing the developmental delays to healthcare workers so
that implementations can be developed to achieve full developmental potential.
Statement of conclusions about the overall quality of the article, validity of the
information In general, the article itself is very well written and thorough regarding

Problem Solution Essays Writing an essay on the topic of "Problem Solution Essays" can be quite challenging, requiring a thoughtful approach and a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. The difficulty lies in not only identifying a significant problem but also in proposing practical and effective solutions. This process demands critical thinking, research skills, and the ability to articulate ideas coherently. To start, one must carefully analyze the chosen problem, considering its root causes, consequences, and the broader context in which it exists. Thorough research is essential to gather relevant data and evidence that can support the proposed solutions. • 2. History Writing Prompt Analysis History Writing Prompt 2015 2016: Prompt 2 As the Revolutionary War faded in Gunner s memory, another image filled his mind. The smell was one they remembered from their adventures during the Revolutionary War. It was gunpowder! Not another war , was all Gunner could think. As Gunner looked down, he saw that they were dressed in a Union uniform.... Boom! A cannon whizzed past my ear, nearly taking off my head! I looked around and saw death, from both sides, but mainly I saw more fatalities in men dressed in Union uniforms. After retreating, the general, whose name I found out to be Ulysses S. Grant, said that we had lost this battle, the Battle of Bull Run. He said we were located in the state of Virginia, and that we were to travel south, towards this state s capital, Richmond. For almost an entire year, we regained our strength, tended... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Republicans don t want slavery to spread, and southerners base their living off of the work of slaves. Without them, they wouldn t have anyone to do the hard work for them. For that reason, the southern states started to secede, he finished. Wow! But how did that start the war? Gunner asked. Lincoln said that to try to secede was very illegal. He even went further to say that he would hold the Union together by force if he had to, so I guess that called for an army, and an army usually calls for war, the soldier finished. Speaking of war, get up soldiers! Today we march to Richmond to face our foes, General McClellan said. I have a good feeling we ll crush those confederates! he rallied. Knock on wood, many soldiers thought. The union soldiers marched to Richmond and the battle began. The Union soldiers quickly lost as General Lee began a series of attacks at Beaver Dam creek, which caught them off guard. The next six days was a basic repeat of the day before, only in a new location, with more casualties and more fatalities. Two months later on Antietam

On the other hand, cheaper prices can evoke perceptions of lower quality , which is mentioned in an article written by Terri Zwierzynski in 2005. Therefore, price can be adjusted by any consumer. It is because if they prefer more products and services, there is a higher price for that type of hospitality product for sure. Using air ticket as an example, it is not a must for the same price if two consumers take the same flight from Hong Kong to Tokyo although they are seating at economic cabin too. It is because if one consumer does not prefer too much restrictions (e.g. Refund/Reroute) for his/er ticket, (s)he needs to pay more money to take the trip than another consumer. Using a consumer chooses two Hong Kong hotels (Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel at Tuen Mun and Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel at Tsim Sha Tsui) as an example. Compared on the same reservation date, the lowest price is HKD $1,950 and HKD $4,200 respectively. At this situation, most consumers may consider Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel as their final accommodation when they travel to Hong Kong since it provides an attractive price. Therefore, consumers may demand for higher or lower price in related to their required services. 2.3 Location Actually, some consumers may put location and price factor as the same criteria to consider when they are choosing hospitality products. However, accessibility time is also important to be another

  • 5. The Gospel Of The Bible The historical Jesus has always been a fascinating character, one who has sparked controversy since the beginning of his time. For one, we have very little historical proof of the life of Jesus, just writing from a Jewish Historian named Josephus, whose writing has been confirmed by archaeological studies. (Fisher, 302). We also have writings about Jesuslife, in particular all that can be found in the bible. One thing that is a constant mystery, that even the bible can t fully answer, is the childhood of the historical Jesus. That is where the Infancy Gospelof Thomas comes into play, as it outlines his life as a child. The Infancy Gospel according to Thomas is believed to have been written sometime in the second century AD, with many believing it was written after The Gospel according to Luke. But, other scholars disagree with such findings. Some scholars feel that its core may have been written even earlier than the canonical gospels. (Fisher, 305). Regardless, it is important to note that this gospel didn t make the canon and that many doubt these stories that are documented, ever existed. I think this gospel didn t make the cannon because of how Jesus is portrayed, and how it doesn t add up to the rest of the gospels. The Infancy Gospel of Thomas portrays Jesus as a fraction of his adult self, who s disobedient, and an arrogant/stubborn kid who abuses his powers to upset those around him. One thing that I think this gospel really tried to do, was make Jesus seem

  • 7. Bureaucracy Defined By Max Weber Introduction Bureaucracy is a staple for the society we live in. the definition of bureaucracy defined by Max Weber is that is constitutes the most efficient and rational way in which one can organize human activity, and that systematic processes and organized hierarchies were necessary to maintain order, maximize efficiency and eliminate favoritism. We see this in our businesses, government, schools, hospitals, banks, and every aspect of our society. There are always hierarchies in every aspect of life that show us who is in charge and has the power, and the ones below them. This system brings order and puts people in place to have an efficient society. Commonly, bureaucracy shows the hierarchical structures in a negative light due to the absence of individual freedom of initiative and the overuse of delegation. Bureaucracies generally reward compliance, not defiance. In bureaucratic settings, one does not typically advance by being the defiant, rugged, and fiercely independent individualist of American folklore, but by going along to get along, being a team player, following the rules and procedures, and slowly climbing the bureaucratic ladder one step at a time (McNamee and Miller 2013:171 172). In the Film Office Space bureaucracy is shown in a company called Initech . The film is about a computer programmer named Peter Gibbons who is a rather depressed individual who hates his job. During the course of the movie Peter becomes fed up with the bureaucracy and so he

  • 10. Rifle Scope Research Paper Out in the field, you need to make sure that you have high quality gear on you to ensure that your hunt goes smoothly. Whether it s making sure that you stay warm with thick, durable clothing, or having an adequate blade for when it s time to dress your kill, the best gear can mean the difference between a successful hunt or an unproductive day in the woods. Of all the gear you can have, however, I would argue that one of the most important pieces is your rifle scope. As a hunter, vision is probably your best asset, considering that you have to see your target to ensure a proper kill. Today I ll be showing you some of the best hunting scopes on the market so that you can get your next prey in your crosshairs and not go home empty handed. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Unfortunately, CVLIFE doesn t seem to name its scopes differently, so I ll just refer to this one as the 50mm model. When talking about lens sizes, I like a larger scope since it lets in more light and gives me better vision. Thus, this 50mm model is a marked improvement over the previous 40mm version. However, you don t get a laser sight on this scope, which may or may not be a bad thing, depending on how much of a badass you want to be. Other notable features of this unit include a variable zoom range of 6 24X, a multi coated lens for better clarity overall, and the fact that it comes with rings to mount on a 20mm Weaver Dovetail Rail. Unfortunately, the rings that come with the scope only attach to that rail, so if you have something different (like a Picatinny), then you ll need to get a different set of rings. • 12. U.s. Should Adopt An Open Borders Policy The U.S. should adopt an open borders policy in which all immigrants are welcomed. Agreement: One thing that will never change throughout the history of the human species is that we will continue to move. Whether it s to the next state, the next country or to the next planet, travelling is in our destiny. There are many reasons as to why people decide to get up and suddenly leave the homelike environment that they have come to know. Sometimes it s war, sometimes it s poverty, and sometimes it s just a need for change. Immigrants come in all shapes and sizes and as a whole, they bring about many well needed additions to our country. A very debatable question that has been stirring up a lot of controversy lately is whether or not the U.S. should adopt an open borders policy. Looking at how immigration has affected not only the U.S., but the rest of the world over the course of time, it is easy to see how having an open borders policy will be the best option for the U.S. When discussing the topic of immigration in the U.S., it is important to look back on how it has helped shape our past. The U.S. was essentially built by immigrants. The general increase in innovation since the beginning of the U.S. was greatly due to the millions of immigrants that were coming to America in search for a better life. Almost every city that s seen here in the U.S. today was built by immigrants and their descendants. Every new mind entering our country, brought with it hundreds of new ideas.

  • 15. Cost Accounting Essay Introduction Cost accounting is used by most companies whether manufacturing or service to keep track of their daily activities. It is essential in understanding the costs of running any enterprise. In other words they aid in determining the costs of inputs and outputs used in production. It involves analyzing and evaluating different approaches in order to determine the most suitable method that management can use suitably and one that can aid in future planning. Cost accounting is therefore an essential tool in decision making. Decisions made may involve pricing levels, future investment, production levels and coming up with a good competitive strategy. Different industries use different cost accounting method depending on the type of services provided or product manufactured. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another disadvantage of standard costing is that organizations which use it in most cases usually react to matters instead of finding a proactive approach of mitigating the errors. Inefficient processes are allowed to run and then cost comparison is done between actual and normal cost. Management may then try to eliminate the variances. This method works on the assumption that factors such as technology remain constant which is not logical especially in this dynamic world where prices of commodities keep on changing. This leads to organizations revising their standard costing instead of taking corrective actions. Standard costing cannot be used in companies that produce heterogeneous products since it works only where the components and processes are the same and repeat themselves and this result in production of identical goods and services. This does not take into account customer preferences since customers need diverse types of goods. This makes it difficult to be applied in many accounting
  • 16. What Defines Human Nature And The Hierarchy Of Human... What defines human nature and the hierarchy of human relations? In this paper, I will argue that Beauvoir s view that society constructs man, maleness, and the masculine as the human standard (rendering woman, femaleness, and the feminine deviant and defective) is flawed. Although Beauvoir s evidence was compelling I had several issues with some of the finer details such as what term designates a human being, that a woman s body is considered disadvantaged, and that femalenature is defective. I also disagree with her statement that woman can t think of herself without man, woman is only a symbol of sex to man, and that man and woman are the Self and the Other. Firstly, Beauvoir argues that man represents the positive and the neutral while woman represents only the negative. I feel that this statement is saying that woman is only what man are not. By making this assumption I infer that Beauvoir feels woman is only considered when man has reached the limits of their reach. However, I believe that man the line separating man and woman is inconclusive in its stance. When looking at what is considered masculine and what is considered feminine, there are some relatable similarities. For example, the work ethic of a man at work is similar to the work ethic of a woman at home. A man would be expected to complete his work load in a proficient manner and bring home money to the family. A woman would be expected to care for the family and the home in a proficient and timely

As stated in the assignment profile, Lincoln Electric is considered one of the best managed companies in the world. I believe this to be partially attributed to their hiring process. Lincoln Electric has strict requirements to weed through unqualified candidates who will not buy in to the company culture of excellence. This is an especially important aspect of their hiring process particularly due to the fact of leadership a trait that plays a vital role in implementing and sustaining a company s culture. It targets price sensitive customers and offers them the cheapest short haul service among all its competitors in the market. Ryanair gives much focus on keeping costs low and is constantly examining every area of its operation to implement cost reductions. The initiatives taken to keep costs low include: Using Boeing 737 planes to have a fleet commonality in order to minimize staff trainings and aircraft maintenance costs. During the Golden Age of Piracy, about 1550 to 1730, pirates did traverse the Atlantic almost completely unchallenged; producing some of the most notorious pirates and privateers the world had ever seen. But not all of these pirates were outlaws, most were actually legal. Question two; how did entire cities and islands become pirate hideouts? During the early Colonial era, the Spanish reigned supreme in the Caribbean. They were rapidly colonizing the islands of the Caribbean and gaining wealth with every step. These cities were afraid of being overthrown by the Spanish and wanted protection from these invaders. One of the first to offer up their ports was Port Royal, Jamaica. . Port Royal became one of the most infamous pirate hideouts of all time and was considered the wickedest city on Earth . It all started in the mid 1600s when Jamaica s governors decided to allow all pirates and privateers, who were not Spanish, to stay in return for protection from the Spanish. And of course, they accepted. Soon after the city was filled with British and French privateers, including the famous Sir Henry Morgan who used Port Royal as a sort of home base for his raids on Spanish strongholds such as Portobello, Caratenga, and Panama City. By the 1660s, Port Royal was filled with every disreputable establishment known to mankind. But by 1720, Jamaica had to cut relations with the pirates due to raids on every ship that came into port. Port Royal then became known for pirate hangings. Other cities and islands like New Providence, Bahamas, have similar stories to tell. But one other island has a different story. This decision would be finalized by going from house to house for opinions of the project and conducting research of who Onate was. I honestly believe that if each official in the El Paso City Council was to make a decision based on these methods, they would go against the Houser project for sure. The arguments made by the groups testifying were based on the objective whether or not the project should be completed. The side that testified that the completion of the sculpture shouldn t be accomplished had a claim that correlated to who Onate was. From the claims made, they made a point that Onate was a man who slaughtered, killed, raped people to steal their land. He treated them with disrespect and building a sculpture of him and putting it in the middle of El Paso, would bring shame to the city because he was a murder, not someone who anyone should look up to. Art has a powerful meaning attached to it, and the sculpture to the Native Americans represented racism and reminded them of the terror their ancestors went through which was overall a traumatic experience. The people who supported the sculpture did not really know who Onate was, all they cared about was publicity and history needed to be recognized and appreciated. My position in tearing down this project apart would definitely represent the traditionalism subculture because this position does not appreciate this government s

Albert Bandura developed this theory which was influenced by social behavior theories. This is because he believed that learning theories in vogue at that time and resulted in incomplete explanations of the acquisition and performance of prosocial and deviant behavior (Schunk, 2000). According to Nevid (2009), social cognitive theory proposes that individuals do not simply respond to environmental influences, but rather they actively seek and interpret information. Children observe the people around them behaving in various ways as illustrated during the famous bobo doll experiment (Bandura, 1961 as cited by McLeod, 2011). When children learn, they have their own aim or motive such as solve a problem, finish their homework or complete some experiments. Question Three There appears to be a greater interspecific variation along this fragment every three base pairs, which would suggest a non random pattern. During translation of the DNA sequence, tRNA anticodons bind to DNA codons specifically, in order to translate the correct amino acid sequence. However, there is plasticity associated with the third codon position of each tRNA anticodon. This means that changes can occur on the third base pair of a codon without changing the amino acid that codon codes for the translation of, and therefore without disrupting the amino acid sequence. The military era was marked by corruption, ineptitude and confusion. It drove Nigeria into many problems including economic problems, poverty, and ethno religious conflicts until the 1990s. The military continued intervening because they believed the civilian leaders were inept and indecisive. Ethnic conflicts continued to escalate through the democratic transition in Nigeria, as various ethnic groups demanded political restructuring. The federal structure has developed deep cracks and demands urgent action to fix it. What is most worrisome in Nigeria is the religious dimension of ethnic conflict and competition for power and oil wealth. The numerous ethno religious conflicts that the northern cities of Kaduna, Kano, Jos and Zamfara have witnessed, came about from the introduction of Muslim Sharia courts, in addition to the South s demands for autonomy. Veronica Monet, a former prostitute and author says she chose sex work for money, independence, and freedom. She explained the importance behind the feeling of independence and freedom. She was able to choose her future and gave consent to the service she was providing (Monet). Books are getting old you know, people just don t seem to like them anymore, now that there is this new holographic gaming, internet, television stuff. I haven t had a customer for 25 years 2 months and 6 days, but I open my bookshop hoping someone will come... I own the last bookshop in the whole world. I have got thousands of books and all of my books are 5th or 6th handed, they are very old, even older than me and I am nearly 70 years old. People used to give me books from people who had died or didn t want their books. It is around the year 2070; the world has changed so much since I was a boy. There is so much new technology, most devices you can control with hand movements, it amazes me. These days a book is almost as rare as a type writer was in the year 2014, and so is cold hard cash. Anyway that s enough introducing from me; let me tell you the rest of my story... It was in the afternoon of this cold and grey day, I was minding my own business, putting the books on their shelf and tidying up the place. I saw a book in the middle of the shelf half sticking out, how unusual I thought to myself. Then I started to hear footsteps run down the stairs. So I try to find the person to give them their book. Finally I found him, a school boy standing right in front of me, You re here I said Who s here? the 11 year old boy replied. You,

The most important function of Organizational Development is to align the mission, values, and culture of the entire organization to create partnerships between employees and management. Their emphasis is on connecting the employees and departments to work as a team by instilling the company s main beliefs. Increasing employee satisfaction can be as easy as changing the culture to empowerment in the workplace which begins with communication, encouraging feedback and giving team members the ability to make more decisions. This approach will have a direct relationship between employee satisfaction and overall performance. As the team member s performance improves so does the individual s confidence and commitment to the company. That confidence in empowered employees can also be andisadvantage for organizations. Leaders have concerns of increased arrogance in individuals because encouraging employee empowerment creates a sense of overconfidence in team members. They are making important decisions without supervision and taking more risks. Although this is all a part of the empowerment principles, taking risks can be successful and they can also be failures. Employee empowerment requires a strong and lasting commitment from an organization s management (p. 2) and that may require changing the culture or management style of the organization (Emerson, 2012). Many older and long term team members are also resistant to learning new things or accepting changes but in order to make this change a success, it will take the entire organization s commitment. But these programs will only succeed if the team member is motivated and has a desire for professional growth. The reality is that many employees are

St. Jones By Synecdoche Throughout Literature the reader often finds themselves thrust into the world of its author, this world relies heavily upon imagery to assist in the formation of this world. In saying this, however, a significant amount of this literary world derived from text is lost due to it being written from the point of view of the recorder, this is even more true in regards to history. Narrowing down the notion of historical point of view, the reader must often times seek out information from both sides to get a pure account of the past and are scarcely ever given a completely unbiased historical account due to the primary ascender being given free reign as to what will be recorded. • 41. Prophecy In The Aeneid The function of prophecy manifests itself in many ways in the Aeneid. Throughout the epic, prophecies and omens act as the agents behind Aeneas fulfilling his destiny as well as providing clear social commentary on the dawn of the Roman Empire under Emperor Augustus. Even though not all of the prophecies and omens included in the epic come to pass in literary terms, Virgils inclusion of prophecy is of paramount importance for driving the plot forward. In this essay I will discuss the function of both internal and external prophecy and the effect these prophecies have on both the characters in the epic and the enjoyment of the reader from The Roman Empire until the present day. It is clear that internal prophecies are of integral importance ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Book Four, Virgil describes how Dido, utterly heartbroken by Aeneas desertion, prays to the gods to curse him (TA: 12.973 4): ... let him be plagued in war by a nation proud in arms, torn from his borders, wrenched from Iulus embrace, let him grovel for help and watch his people die a shameful death... may he never enjoy his realm... let him die before his day, unburied on some desolate beach. In this instance, Dido s prophecy does not come to pass in the epic although there is an anxiety created for the reader that this fate is a possibility for Aeneas. However The Punic Wars , which broke out between Rome and Carthage in the 3rd and 2nd Centuries B.C. (Lazenby, 1996: XV) would seem to be the fulfillment of the curse Dido places on Aeneas and his future when he abandons her and sails to Italy to fulfill his fate. The internal failure of Dido s curse reminds us however that Aeneas is a slave to an altogether more important and powerful prophecy: the prophecy of Rome. Additionally, as an oriental queen, we must remember how Dido along with the other women from the old world, held little to no place in the vision of the new Rome. I believe the way in which Aeneas treats those who are not directly included in his prophecy; particularly in this scene, raises interesting ideas about Aeneas character. It is easy for the reader to forget that he is not born a hero like the epic heroes who came before him like Odysseus, rather he becomes one as the story progresses. He is therefore forgiven any human errors of judgement, including deserting Dido in favour of fulfilling his

The novel explores what life might be like outside of camp on one occasion, when Ivan Denisovich s wife sent him a letter about carpet dyeing. Despite having an opportunity outside of camp, Denisovich was indifferent because he lost the habit of scheming how he was going to feed his family (44). The guards give prisoners work to do, and that is the prisoner s only purpose in life once they are incarcerated. How the sun represents incarceration despite the sun s lively connotations, it transcends the confusion that the labour camp and the Soviet government were stirring in the prisoner s head. Using the moon s symbolism, it leads prisoners and the readers to contemplate on this underlying turmoil. But even though life in prison is difficult, somehow life was easier (44) because Denisovich did not have to bear the burden of his family. He was also questioning if life was easier here or there (178). This seemingly unquestionable conclusion that a life of liberty outside of camp is much easier than a life of incarceration inside of camp is being obfuscated by the Soviet government. The prisoners no longer know what they want, and this confusion alludes to how the Soviet government is wrecking havoc both in the camps and the nation. The three primary types of diabetes are: Diabetes Type 1 and 2, and during some pregnancies, Gestational diabetes. The clichГ© for all three types of diabetes is high glucose blood levels or hyperglycemia. The pathophysiology of all types of diabetes mellitusis related to the hormone insulin, which is secreted by the beta cells of the pancreas. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With gestational diabetes it is glucose intolerance during pregnancy in a woman not previously diagnosed with diabetes. It may occur if placental hormones counteract insulin, causing insulin resistance. The exact cause of type 1 diabetes mellitus, previously known as insulin dependent diabetes mellitus, is unknown. What we know today is that in most people with type 1, their body s own immune system which normally fights against infections mistakenly destroys the beta cells of the pancreas making insulin secretion impossible. Genetics also plays a role in this process, and exposure to certain viruses could trigger the disease. Whatever the cause, once 90% or more of the beta cells are destroyed, the pancreas will produce little or no insulin. In type 1 diabetes due to the lack of insulin, the glucose is not able to enter the cells to be used for energy and instead it builds up into the bloodstream, where it can cause life threatening complications. The cause of type 1 diabetes is different from the cause of the more common type 2 diabetes in which the beta cells of the pancreas are still functioning, but the body becomes resistant to insulin or the pancreas is not able to produce enough insulin or both. The early symptoms of untreated diabetes are related to elevated blood sugar levels and loss of glucose in urine. High amount of glucose in urine can lead to increased urine output and dehydration. Insulin deficiency can lead to weight loss despite the polyphagia.
