The document introduces a proactive SWOT matrix as an improved tool for conducting SWOT analysis in management. Unlike traditional templates, this matrix represents information visually based on the weight and impact of each attribute, facilitating better evaluation of strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, and threats. Users are encouraged to apply this matrix to their own projects for more effective analysis.

1. Proactive SWOT Matrix
SWOT analysis is an indispensable tool in management for identifying
Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats. However, the available
SWOT analysis templates are generally one-dimensional and upon completion
offer a collection of information without regards to importance or impact of
each attribute. It would be advantageous if we could collate this information
and display them in a more user-friendly fashion.
The new Proactive SWOT Matrix that I have developed utilises graphical
annotation to convey a visual analysis of the information based on their weight
and impact, thus providing meaningful evaluation for identifying strengths and
opportunities whilst mitigating for weakness and threats based on the
competency level and the impact it may have on the project. Please feel free
to use the Matrix on the next slide for your own project.
