One Day Means: One Day!
Have you ever had one of those days, where
you repeatedly found yourself saying to
yourself “One day at a time….one day at a
time”, usually in an attempt to recenter
ourselves, to recenter our focus?!
When we change our focus, we change our
lives.!
Repeating a montra like “one day at a time”, is
one way of refocusing our attention off of one
thing, such as: the past, the future or some
other nonessential, that is not the present.

The key is, bringing your focus back to
the present. !
Bringing our attention back to the present
and directing it towards a new more positive
intension. !
Deciding what we want to feel and focus on, and
deciding what we want to focus on and feel. !
It may seem as thought this process might
not work, or may not work for you. Most
people who think this “process of refocusing
their minds”, does not work, are the same
people who haven’t even tried it once to see if
it does work. At least not consciously and
towards something positive. !
Let’s do an experiment. Let’s take 5 deep
breaths. !
DO IT NOW!!!!
If you already did this or are doing it now, you
are probably starting to feel a little more
relaxed than you were before. (you are
welcome)!

RELAXING DEEPERTHAN BEFORE !
Now let’s try a different experiment. !
Instead of setting our intensions on just to
relax, we set our intension to relax even
deeper than before?!
Let’s take “the same” 5 deep breaths, but this
time we are going to set our intensions to
RELAX EVEN DEEPER than we just
relaxed, taking the first 5 breaths.!
What if we changed our intensions? Do they
impact our results? Will it matter if we make
our intensions more specific? Let’s find out
how we can do this?!
Our brains, when given an outcome, in this
case, to RELAX EVEN DEEPER, then our
brains, will start to think of a few ways, that
we might be able to do this. !
Some ways of relaxing might be physical
(getting more comfortable, intentionally
relaxing your shoulders, or the back of your
neck). Our brain, could give us suggestions for
relaxing in nonphysical ways. (These are my
favorite). We already did one way of relaxing,
that probably worked well, taking 5 deep
breaths. !

SETTING CLEARER INTENSIONS
Now we set our intensions, to focus on:
RELAXING EVEN DEEPER, than the last
time we took 5 deep breaths. !
The new intension is “Relaxing Even Deeper
than before, while I take the same 5 deep
breaths”. Possibly closing my eyes while I do
it, instead of reading and taking the deep
breaths. !
DO IT NOW !!!!
Close your eyes, (not now finish reading the
rest of instructions, I should have mentioned
that first).!
Read All Instructions Before Beginning!
Close your eyes!
Set your intensions to relax even deeper than
before, while taking “the same” 5 deep
breaths. !
Begin :)!

Now typically I don’t practice anything that I
write about, but this time I thought I would
give it a try. I stopped typing, and took 5
deeper breaths, this time expecting to be
more relaxed. !
When I took the first deep breath, I had
already felt more relaxed then before, even
before I had completely exhaled. The results I
were getting were “far exceeding that which I
conceived” but were right on track with my
intensions. !
Upon feeling very relaxed I thought of the
joke, which opened this section (discussing
how I don’t practice anything, but this time I
did. :) It made me smile and laugh. I was
already starting to “see” and feel the
difference in “these 5 breaths”. !
I felt so amazed by the third deep breath,
that for a moment I lost count, as I started in
inhale, and remember which deep breath I
was on. I hope that you had a similar
experience.!

Analysis:
When we set our intension, and by “we” I
mean: Me and those of you that actually did
the exercise. We set our intension to
experience something and to have it better,
only because we our intending it to be better. !
It did not cost us anything, except for the
time you invested in learning/practicing. It is
now something, that you can do in any part of
the world, no matter where you are or if you
have Wi-Fi. !
Those of you that focused your mind, and set
clearer intensions, witnessed first hand, that
just “showing up” with intensions, has a way
of giving you MUCH MORE THAN
EXPECTED. At least that is how it turned
for me. It turned out better than I expected
and much better than I intended. !
