This document provides a pressure transmitter calibration procedure for the oil and gas industry. The procedure involves 16 steps: 1) preparing relevant documentation, 2) following safety precautions, 3) gathering test equipment, 4) sequentially calibrating the transmitter to manufacturer specifications at 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% pressure ranges and verifying readings, 5) documenting calibration results, and 6) returning the transmitter to service and closing out the work. Proper personal protective equipment and permits are required, and any leaks must be addressed before and after calibration.
