This document discusses using information and communication technologies (ICT) platforms to facilitate knowledge sharing and transfer related to sustainable agriculture. It notes that knowledge can be shared between farmers, academics, and others. It also describes a Southeast Asian network called SAFSeN that supports this. Some challenges of using ICT include limited infrastructure access, cultural/language barriers, and inability to ask questions instantly. While hands-on training allows customization and interaction, ICT methods can reach more people more flexibly if infrastructure is available. The conclusion advocates using ICT to complement hands-on training by providing initial capacity building and follow-up learning.
