1. Research
Other magazines and look at
what their conventions
are, also researching clothes
and font styles in their
magazines. I also researched
different types of cover
photos I could replicate and
double page pictures that
would suit the genre I wanted
to make.
Organisation
From my research into
my genre conventions I
then planned my
model’s outfits and
makeup gathering ideas
of what they could wear
to fit the genre. I decided
upon what I was going
to write my article
about.
Planning
I made a flat plan of my cover
page, contents and double
page spread so it was easier
for me to recreate the images
and I could also ensure that
what I was doing looked good
before I began.
Article Writing
I looked at magazines of the
same genre as what I am
trying to create and I looked
at the type of language they
used. I wrote my magazine
about an artist who had been
in a band and did some solo
music.
Cover photo shoot
After planning the clothes
and makeup for my model
I did the photo shoot and
picked the best image I
thought was suitable for
my magazine.
Making the products
I have been making the
products before and after
previous stages aswell but
this is where the main
making of the products took
place.
Organisation
I planned the dps
model’s clothes as he
was of a different gender
therefore I had to change
how he looked, I also
then researched the
different pictures I could
recreate for the dps
image.
