1) In the past, students had fewer options for classes and activities compared to today. They focused on core subjects like English, reading, math, and social studies. 2) Playground equipment was more basic, consisting of swings, seesaws, balls and bats for recreation. Class sizes were smaller, often around 12 students. 3) School libraries lacked computers and focused on print materials. Classrooms were also used as library spaces. Discipline involved physical punishment compared to today's approaches.

2. When you was in high school, we actually got to pick which English/Reading classes we wanted to take. Phonics, typing but not computers. Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Language Arts, Art, Music, Phys. Ed., Health, Current Events. We had to learn to spell all of our words correctly or the teacher would circle the word with her red pen and make you write it out 5 or 10 times on the chalk board. What Was Studied?

4. Libraries Our library had lots of books but we didn't have computers. They had a very small library, but when you was in grade 6 we were given the classroom beside the library as a resource room. The library was always dead quiet with no computers and big file cabinets to look up where a book was.

5. Number of The Students In The Classrooms We had 12 students in our class, sometimes we had a split class. Sometimes, if the school is very small or tiny, there’s only 200 kids allowed. I started grade 1 in 1956, together with 149 other beginners in 5 classes.
