There library was small but had lots of books. They didn’t have computers in there library. They went to borrow books from the town library. Library.
Number of students in one class. They had 30 students in each class. Back in 70’s they never had more than 25 students in each class. In the 50's in Western Pennsylvania, classes had about 30 students.
What was studied. They had to spell all the words correctly if they don’t they have to write them 5-10 times. When they were in high school they get to pick which English/reading classes they wanted to take. They didn’t had gym they went to play outside on Fridays.
Playgrounds. They can go home for there lunch. They didn't have as much playground equipment like they do now so they played marbles or jump rope most of the time. We had monkey bars and 1 very tall slide with a bump in the middle and 2 swings
School rules. If they broke the rules, they had to write lines. They had to stay in after school do extra work or clean the classroom if they brake the rules.
Anything else that was different. The school was small and only went up to grade six. Once a week we have assemblies and we sang different kinds of songs.
