3. Camerawork- This is a
medium shot of the band
here we are able to see
them performers which is
important so we recognize
them. They all look like
they are looking into the
viewers eyes apart from
the man on the left as his
head is slightly turned and
he has sunglasses on. This
makes him seem really
relaxed and not that
bothered.
Mise en scene (costume) - It
is very hard to see what the
band are wearing, especially
the two men at the back. At
the front we can see the
man in the middle is
wearing a t-shirt and jacket
which gives the vibe again of
being relaxed. However the
man on the left appears to
be wearing a suite, which
contrast with the way he I
looking (not bothered) as a
suite gives us the impression
of making an effort and
wanting to look smart.
Performance wise, they all look quite serious in
terms of their facial expressions, the way they are
standing seems quite relaxed, the way they are
positioned feels framed as the two men at the back
are seen much that’s the only way they could
squeeze in the picture.
The background is black which allows to
stand out more because of the effect
used. Also this links to rock as when
people think of rock they think of the
artist/ band wearing a lot of black and
their videos being dark
The design is weird in
the way that the
rainbow implies kid like
memories however this
is a rock album. The
effect seems like a
negative one and the
shot looks blurry but
this may be the effect.
The colour from the
rainbow makes us
think this album will be
fresh and happy. The
way the rainbows are
round the corners
makes us focus on the
band.
The writing has the
colours of the rainbow
in, linking it together
and making the writing
stand out on the black
background

4. The text on the back is in the same colours of the
rainbow, the same as the txt on the front. The back of the
album wouldn't’t make me instantly think this is a rock
album
The only part
of the text on
the spine that
is in really
bright multi
coulor. It’s the
same on the
opposite side.
“more hot
rocks” is in
this bright
multicolour
effect to stand
out and get
attention from
the persons
looking at it.
The artist don’t
appear on the
back, they are a
really well known
band so its not as
if they need the
publicity of them
themselves.
There is a lot of
text on the back
and maybe they
just wanted the
focus here to be
on that other
wise the focus
would be on
them.
The background is black again to
match the front, but also again to
let the text in the colours stand
out.
