User Experience Designers are increasingly asked to design for social engagement with features like following, commenting, and the critical piece of the viral web; sharing. Tweets, status updates, and content forwards are woven into many of the products and services we use every day, but do we really understand what makes people ~want to share in the first place? You can’t just add a button and expect a digital tsunami of shares. To get sharing right, you must understand the basic motivations of sharing and create a framework appropriate to the context. This presentation explores the evolution of sharing behavior, the 3 main psychological motivations that drive people to share, and
Guidelines for creating inspired sharing frameworks Ultimately, sharing is good for us as a species and fantastic for the UX community. Find out why and discover how to tap the human desire to share to create happier customers, happier users, and a happier you.

ABOUT US
Anmol Jeevan Charitable Trust is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support to underprivileged children, elderly individuals, and communities in need. Founded with the vision of creating a better world for everyone, the trust aims to provide a helping hand to those who need it the most.

For the past two years libraries across Michigan participated in a simple and effective campaign to educate patrons about organ, tissue, and eye donation and offer the opportunity to join the Michigan Organ Donor Registry. This effort was originally spearheaded in 2010 by the University of Michigan's Taubman Health Sciences Library, but has expanded to include libraries on several university campuses across the state; University of Michigan Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint campuses, along with libraries at Eastern Michigan University, and Grand Valley State University. The 2011 collaborative effort resulted in registering 414 new organ donors, reaching over 1500 visitors with information on organ donation and registration information.
More than 95% of Americans support organ, tissue and eye donation. In Michigan, only 34% of adults have joined the Michigan Organ Donor Registry, far lower than the 43% average nationwide! That discrepancy is largely due to state residents not knowing how to properly sign up. Michigan Libraries for Life helps to address that informational need.
We are excited to bring this life-saving event back in 2012, expanding to include many more public, academic, and special libraries. This year’s 2-day drive will start on Tuesday, October 2nd and run through Wednesday, October 3rd. Participating libraries are welcome to join the effort for as many hours as they are able to staff a registration table, from 2 hours to 2 days.

2. One Legacy's
Foundation provides a
complete range of
services required.
To effectively recover
donated organs and
tissues, support donor
families, and inspire our
diverse communities to
donate life.
About the Foundation
3. To understand their goals to save and heal lives
through organ, eye and tissue donation.
To focus on a system that envisions one day
when they fulfill the needs of donor families
and all who require organ, cornea or tissue
transplants for their health and well-being.
Mission
4. To help others understand the needs of this
organization because transplantation is still a
relatively new and evolving science, it is
understandable that people create and spread
rumors about organ donation.
A donor’s family is never charged for organ
donation. From the moment a family gives consent
for donation, One Legacy bears the costs associated
with the recovery of organs for transplantation.
However, the family is responsible for all hospital
expenses incurred prior to the death of the donor
and all funeral expenses.
Values
5. Savannah Faith Sides was the
daughter of Stephen and Sandy
Sides. She was born August 26th
2001 and died May 15th 2007. A
miracle from birth, she proved in
her short life to be a special child
with unusual compassion. A month
{
before her death from a car
accident, she chose to be an organ
donor. She said, with wisdom
beyond her years, "I won't need
them in heaven". She was right, but
there were more than 4 people here
on earth that made good use of her
gifts. In the spirit of her generosity
and to celebrate her life, her mother
and father host the Savannah Faith
Miracle Ride to raise awareness
and money for someone who is
waiting for that gift today.
Her Life’s wish
6. To fundraise so that we have money to provide
conferences, brochures, flyers, and many other
things to our community so they will be well
educated about organ donations.
We graciously accept charitable contributions in
memory or honor of loved ones or in support
of our efforts to inspire others to donate life.
INPUTS
7. To identify and help the public
understand the life-saving and healing
benefits of transplantation
To explicate the importance of
registering as a donor, and how organ
and tissue donation strengthens families
and communities.

To be able to dissipate any feeling about donations.
Process
10. Donate Life has launched a bold new
initiative to register 20 million people in
2012 on their state donor registries.
Each Donate Life state team will have a
designated week in 2012 to promote
stories of hope about people from their state
and share them through the Facebook pages and
websites of Donate Life America.
The Goal
11. One Legacy reaches out to diverse communities
with programs that inspire people to donate
life.
The foundation focuses on helping the public

How does this use critical
thinking ?
14. To engage actively in a structured counseling
and grief support for family and friends.
To propagate an aftercare program that
includes bereavement literature, grief support
counseling, referrals, follow-up letters,
telephone calls, donor family gatherings, and
events to honor and remember donors.
To have empathy when dealing with the family
and friends of both the donor and recipients.
How does this Promote
Critical Action
15. I personally do not know anyone who has donated
to this organization , but it doesn’t mean I don’t have
the passion to support this foundation. The
presentation that I saw in my Death and Dying
course changed my goal for what I wanted to do
with my degree. The foundation answers any
question you have to help you decipher if this is for
you and your family.
