Table of some leading varieties
1. For GH segment: Total area under cucumbers greenhouses is
about 2 500 – 3 000 ha. For indeterminate tomatoes 2 000 – 2
500 ha. Requirements:
Autumn season: length 18-19-20 cm, dark green, resistant to fall of
temperature, shelf life, single fruit.
Spring: 17-18 cm, dark green, multi fruit, shelf life.
2. For local market there is a need of short GH cucumbers like
Fontino F1 (NongWoo bio), Orzu F1 from Nunhems: 10-12 cm.
Sowing dates are by the end of September beginning of October
for autumn crop. In spring by beginning of January, February.
Sucessful indeterminate tomatoes should be like: Buran F1, Elpida
F1 (Enza Zaden), Cinto F1 (Rijk Zwaan), Jalila (Sakata) about
220-280 gr.
