We divide the different types of
communication medium into
two different categories:
1. Physical media
2. Mechanical media
Physical media

With physical media we mean channels
where the person who is talking can be
seen and heard by the audience.
The whole point here is to be able to not
only hear the messages but also to see the
body language and feel the climate in the
room.
Cricket Match
Cricket match is going
to be played at Qaddafi
Stadium and you are
listening commentary
and watching the bating,
balling and innings
while sitting at Stadium
is the example of
physical media.
Manager’s
meeting
with his
employees
Imran khan’s speech
at Minar-e- Pakistan
and you listen him,
watch his
expressions, body
language not on TV
but due to your own
presence at Minar-e-
Pakistan is the
example of physical
media.
Word Of Mouth
If something becomes well-
known by word of mouth, it
becomes well-known because
people are telling each other about
it, and not because of advertising
or other marketing tools.
Mechanical media
With mechanical
media we mean written
or electronic channels.
It is meant for behavioral
changes.

It plays an important role
in agenda setting.

     you can use billboards to inform people who
     do not have computers and/or access to the
     Intranet or to reach people that work part time
     and does not attend weekly meetings.
SOCIAL MEDIA
Social media refers to the means of interactions
 among people in which they create, share, and
 exchange information and ideas in virtual
 communities and networks.
"a group of Internet-based applications that build on
 the ideological and technological foundations”
CLASSIFICATION OF SOCIAL MEDIA
:
Six different types of social media:
collaborative projects
 blogs and micro blogs
content communities
 social networking sites
 virtual game worlds
 virtual social worlds
Mobile social media



    When social media is used in combination with mobile devices it is
    called mobile social media. Social media is a group of mobile
    marketing applications that allow the creation and exchange of user-
    generated content
Online Media




 The term "media" is defined by the dictionary as the storage and
 transmission tools used for delivering data or information.
 However, nowadays media is often used as a synonym to mass
 media and news media. And media, along with everything else in
 this world, has evolved a lot, and when the Internet was
 introduced, media fitted perfectly in it, giving birth to the online
 media.
“DYNAMIC MEDIA”



  ‘In general, dynamic means energetic, capable of action and/or
  change, or forceful, while static means stationary or fixed.’
STATIC MEDIA



   Newspapers, magazines, posters and books are all examples of
   static media.
   •Works on self chosen speed
   • Longer shelf value
