6. Islamic Religious College (PTKI) is a centre for Islamic studies. That is because the
majority of Muslims are essential to developing and mainstream religious moderation.
The Center for The Study of Islam and Society (PPIM) UIN Jakarta through the Convey
Indonesia program conducted research on three PTKIN in Indonesia, namely UIN Syarif
Hidayatullah Jakarta Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung and UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.
Based on the study results, religious moderation has been inserted in education and
teaching and the many themes of religious moderation in student activities

7. Actualization of religious moderation in UIN Raden Mas Said
UIN Rector Raden Mas Said stated that some implementations of religious moderation on the
campus are already having a House of Religious Moderation.
Pusat Studi Pancasila dan Kebangsaan (PSPK) which aims to refresh the
rejuvenation of Pancasila values in life on campus
Pusat Kajian dan Pengembangan Pesantren Nusantara (PKPPN) which aims to empower and build
pesantren always campaign for islamic courtesy at every opportunity with Islam Santun
In 2019 P3KMI changed its name to BIMA, which contains material about religious moderation and
the development of adab and morals. At the same time, the reading material was written by the
Qur'an as an assignment from the Pondok BTQ FAB Unit program. It refers to the decision of the

8. Based on the above data, it can be seen that UIN Raden Mas Said students come from different
backgrounds from both formal and non-formal education. This problem also has implications for
differences in religious understanding patterns. Historically Surakarta as a marketplace node point meets
the seeds of radicalism that give rise to clashes of any ideology. For example, in about 2006, one student
of STAIN Surakarta Faculty of Sharia died with Doctor Azhari in Batu Malang. But in the 3rd semester has
disappeared, not continuing the lecture. It shows that the UIN Raden Mas Said campus is surrounded by
associations that need to be watched in preventive operations.

9. There are 8 public universities that are feared to be the land of radicalism growth on campus,
namely, IAIN Purwokerto, UNSOED Purwokerto, UNNES Semarang, UNDIP Semarang, UNY
Yogyakarta, UGM Yogyakarta, UNS Surakarta, and IAIN Surakarta. It is based on the existence of
Islamic movements in the college that are affiliated with three movements, namely: Salafi, Gema
Pembebasan (HTI), and KAMMI. Meanwhile, in IAIN Surakarta itself obtained results that tend to
be sterile from the movement under Islam Exclusive, the da'wah activity is only limited to
Lembaga Dawah Kampus (LDK) conducted in the mosque. Nonetheless, the large number of
transnational Islamic movement groups around IAIN Surakarta impacts the potential level of
intolerance that develops on campus (UNUSIA, 2019).

11. Based on the data processing results above, the majority of respondents, namely students, need religious
moderation education activities such as bima. Even the coverage was expanded in the Faculty of Adab and
Language and throughout the other faculties. In addition, the student satisfaction rate was 7.83 out of 10.
This means that the majority of students are satisfied with the results of education organized by BIMA.

12. Conclusion
 The actualization of religious moderation in UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta is through several
institutional policies. Establishing a House of Religious Moderation (RMB) as an academic forum in
implementing the values of moderation, a Center for Pancasila and National Studies (PSPK) that
raises many national issues, and the Center for The Study and Development of Pesantren Nusantara
(PKPPN). Campaign Islam manners and friendly.
 In addition, religious moderation-based research is also developed for lecturers. Student activities
such as KKN, PBAK, and graduation began to insert religious moderation themes to stimulate the
Islamic wasathiyah movement. One of the efforts to contain the pace of the intorelation movement
in the student area has been spearheaded by the BIMA support unit, which conducts preventive
measures against radicalism and intolerance. This is motivated by the activities of P3KMI students
who became the sowing ground of the transnational Islamic tarbiyah movement.
 To optimize prevention efforts through the establishment of moderation insight courses and the
development of religious moderation programs that most students state the need for education
related to religious moderation on campus. The importance of UIN Raden Mas Said being a
moderation laboratory is due to the position of the region in Surakarta which became a melting pot
where various religious schools had the potential to improve the map of intolerance and radicalism,
especially among students.
