I. General Information

•  Deutsche Lufthansa AG is the flag carrier of Germany and the
largest airline in Europe in terms of overall passengers carried and
fleet size.

•  Lufthansa's corporate headquarter is in Cologne, Germany, with its
main operations base (Lufthansa Aviation Center) and primary traffic
hub at Frankfurt Airport. The majority of Lufthansa's pilots, ground
staff, and flight attendants are based in Frankfurt.

•  In 2010, over 90 million passengers flew with Lufthansa.

•  Subsidiaries:
     -  LSG Sky Chefs (airline caterer)
     -  Lufthansa Consulting
     -  Lufthansa Flight Training
     -  Lufthansa Systems (IT provider)
     -  Lufthansa Technik (maintenance)
II. My Working Environment




•  Lufthansa Flight Training GmbH is a company owned 100% by
Lufthansa which is responsible for the training of pilots and crew
members.

•  The training locations are Bremen, Frankfurt, Berlin and Munich and
Vienna (Austria), Zurich (Switzerland) and a facility in Phoenix,
Arizona (USA).

•  Cockpit Training / Cabin Training

•  Simulator Fleet:
     -  Airbus (A300, A310, A319, A320, A321, A330, A340)
     -  Boeing (737, 747, 757, 767, 777, MD-11)
     -  Bombardier (CRJ, Q400)
     -  Flat Panel Trainers
III. My Tasks

•  Sales & Promotion department

    -  Quality Management Update

    -  create new website (MySIM) where customers can book
    simulators and trainings and also manage requests

    -  plan and organize events for clients

    -  SAP CRM Updates

    -  E-Notes

    -  Power-Point Presentations

    -  Translations

Imagine the following scene:

you got assigned to a project that really

internship. Due to hard times in the industry,
delays in the IT support which is the basis for
your project and other smaller difficulties you
can’t really continue with the project. The
whole situation is frustrating you because
you get assigned to smaller and less
interesting tasks, and so you decide to talk to
your supervisor in a face-to-face talk.>>
