This document summarizes a preliminary study on using UWB technology for indoor localization to monitor multiple patients simultaneously within their homes. The system employs UWB TDOA technology using integrated transceivers to locate patients within 10cm of accuracy. Initial experiments in a lab environment demonstrated the feasibility of tracking two transmitters representing patients in real-time with 1.3-1.5 second updates. Future work will focus on developing a fully wireless system with faster updating speeds and higher accuracy.
