This document provides guidance on preparing manuscripts for international journals. It discusses key aspects such as choosing the right journal, following the journal's author guidelines, and structuring the manuscript properly. The ideal manuscript length is 25-30 pages and should follow a standard structure of title, abstract, introduction, methods, results, discussion, and conclusions sections. It is important to choose the correct journal type and scope that matches your research, and only submit your manuscript to one journal. The document offers tips for writing clearly and concisely while emphasizing the main points of your research for reviewers.

Getting Published! Exploring strategies, myths and barriers of academic publi...Prof Simon Haslett
Publications are an important aspect of the work of an academic; remaining the principal vehicle through which research is reported, opinions aired, reviews undertaken, and knowledge transferred, and writing is also a useful learning exercise. For many, it also underpins teaching and curricula, means greater success in research grant applications, and a good publication track record is still seen by many institutions as a key recruitment and promotion criteria. Yet traditionally how to get your work published has not been taught, but learnt through trial and error, mainly from rejection by journal editors. This seminar is aimed at inexperienced academic authors and explores and discusses the issues surrounding the strategy and publication of academic work, and addresses some of the myths and barriers that might discourage would-be authors after the research and writing process is complete.
How to write with purpose to get published in the security field. Includes best practices on how to get started, what to write about, and where to get published.
There are some common criteria you should consider when choosing a journal to publish in. Once you have a publication strategy in place, choose journals that meet all of your criteria.

how to sell pi coins in South Korea profitably.DOT TECH
Yes. You can sell your pi network coins in South Korea or any other country, by finding a verified pi merchant
What is a verified pi merchant?
Since pi network is not launched yet on any exchange, the only way you can sell pi coins is by selling to a verified pi merchant, and this is because pi network is not launched yet on any exchange and no pre-sale or ico offerings Is done on pi.
Since there is no pre-sale, the only way exchanges can get pi is by buying from miners. So a pi merchant facilitates these transactions by acting as a bridge for both transactions.
How can i find a pi vendor/merchant?
Well for those who haven't traded with a pi merchant or who don't already have one. I will leave the telegram id of my personal pi merchant who i trade pi with.

If you are interested in selling your pi coins, i have a verified pi merchant, who buys pi coins and resell them to exchanges looking forward to hold till mainnet launch.
Because the core team has announced that pi network will not be doing any pre-sale. The only way exchanges like huobi, bitmart and hotbit can get pi is by buying from miners.
Now a merchant stands in between these exchanges and the miners. As a link to make transactions smooth. Because right now in the enclosed mainnet you can't sell pi coins your self. You need the help of a merchant,
i will leave the telegram contact of my personal pi merchant below. 👇 I and my friends has traded more than 3000pi coins with him successfully.

You can't sell your pi coins in the pi network app. because it is not listed yet on any exchange.
The only way you can sell is by trading your pi coins with an investor (a person looking forward to hold massive amounts of pi coins before mainnet launch) .
You don't need to meet the investor directly all the trades are done with a pi vendor/merchant (a person that buys the pi coins from miners and resell it to investors)

As of my last update, Pi is still in the testing phase and is not tradable on any exchanges.
However, Pi Network has announced plans to launch its Testnet and Mainnet in the future, which may include listing Pi on exchanges.
The current method for selling pi coins involves exchanging them with a pi vendor who purchases pi coins for investment reasons.
If you want to sell your pi coins, reach out to a pi vendor and sell them to anyone looking to sell pi coins from any country around the globe.
Below is the contact information for my personal pi vendor.

Pi coins is not launched yet in any exchange 💱 this means it's not swappable, the current pi displaying on coin market cap is the iou version of pi. And you can learn all about that on my previous post.
RIGHT NOW THE ONLY WAY you can sell pi coins is through verified pi merchants. A pi merchant is someone who buys pi coins and resell them to exchanges and crypto whales. Looking forward to hold massive quantities of pi coins before the mainnet launch.
This is because pi network is not doing any pre-sale or ico offerings, the only way to get my coins is from buying from miners. So a merchant facilitates the transactions between the miners and these exchanges holding pi.
I and my friends has sold more than 6000 pi coins successfully with this method. I will be happy to share the contact of my personal pi merchant. The one i trade with, if you have your own merchant you can trade with them. For those who are new.

US Economic Outlook - Being Decided - M Capital Group August 2021.pdfpchutichetpong
The U.S. economy is continuing its impressive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and not slowing down despite re-occurring bumps. The U.S. savings rate reached its highest ever recorded level at 34% in April 2020 and Americans seem ready to spend. The sectors that had been hurt the most by the pandemic specifically reduced consumer spending, like retail, leisure, hospitality, and travel, are now experiencing massive growth in revenue and job openings.
Could this growth lead to a “Roaring Twenties”? As quickly as the U.S. economy contracted, experiencing a 9.1% drop in economic output relative to the business cycle in Q2 2020, the largest in recorded history, it has rebounded beyond expectations. This surprising growth seems to be fueled by the U.S. government’s aggressive fiscal and monetary policies, and an increase in consumer spending as mobility restrictions are lifted. Unemployment rates between June 2020 and June 2021 decreased by 5.2%, while the demand for labor is increasing, coupled with increasing wages to incentivize Americans to rejoin the labor force. Schools and businesses are expected to fully reopen soon. In parallel, vaccination rates across the country and the world continue to rise, with full vaccination rates of 50% and 14.8% respectively.
However, it is not completely smooth sailing from here. According to M Capital Group, the main risks that threaten the continued growth of the U.S. economy are inflation, unsettled trade relations, and another wave of Covid-19 mutations that could shut down the world again. Have we learned from the past year of COVID-19 and adapted our economy accordingly?
“In order for the U.S. economy to continue growing, whether there is another wave or not, the U.S. needs to focus on diversifying supply chains, supporting business investment, and maintaining consumer spending,” says Grace Feeley, a research analyst at M Capital Group.
While the economic indicators are positive, the risks are coming closer to manifesting and threatening such growth. The new variants spreading throughout the world, Delta, Lambda, and Gamma, are vaccine-resistant and muddy the predictions made about the economy and health of the country. These variants bring back the feeling of uncertainty that has wreaked havoc not only on the stock market but the mindset of people around the world. MCG provides unique insight on how to mitigate these risks to possibly ensure a bright economic future.

From a journal publishing perspective:
responsibilities
4. Role of the Journal Editor
• Public face of the journal
• Decides on what gets published
– type and standard of paper
• Sets editorial policies
– with editorial board & publishers’ editor
• Runs the peer review process
– supported by an editorial office funded by the publisher
5. Peer Review
• A methodological check
– soundness of argument
– supporting data and cited references
• Done by two anonymous academics
– (“the reviewers”)
• Reviewers peer review without payment
– costs of administering the selection of reviewers, postage and
document costs are borne by the journal
• On average 30% more papers are reviewed than published
6. Role of the Publisher
• Editorial (journal brand) management:
– acquisition of content
– monitor research trends
– monitor editorial office efficiency and efficacy
– monitor key success indicators
– editorial renewal
• Business management
• Production and online hosting
• Sales and marketing
7. Why publish?
Publishing is one of the necessary steps embedded in the
scientific research process.
• To present new, original results or methods
• To rationalize (refine, reinterpret) published results
• To review the field or to summarize a particular subject
• To publish that advance, not repeats, knowledge and understanding in a
certain, scientific field
• We should not publish:
– Reports of no scientific interest
– Work out of date
– Duplications of previously published work
– Incorrect/not acceptable conclusions
• You need a GOOD manuscript to present your contributions
to the scientific community
8. What is a good manuscript?
• Contains a scientific message that is clear, useful, and
exciting.
• Conveys the authors’ thoughts in a logical manner such
that the reader arrives at the same conclusions as the
author.
• Is constructed in the format that best showcases the
authors’ material, and written in a style that transmits the
message clearly.
• Content is essential
9. • Presentation is critical
• A good manuscript makes readers (especially
reviewers and editors) grasp the scientific significance
as EASILY as possible.
• Writing a good manuscript is NOT easy. Be prepared
to work hard on it.
– Cherish your own work – if you do not take care, why should
the journal?
– There is no secret recipe for success – just some simple rules,
dedication and hard work.
– Editors and reviewers are all busy scientists, just like you –
make things easy to save their time!
What is a good manuscript?
10. How to prepare a good manuscript - 1
Think about WHY you want to publish your work. (Actually,
you should check the originality of the idea at the very
beginning of your research.)
– Have you done something new and interesting?
– Is there anything challenging in your work?
– Is the work related directly to a current hot topic?
– Have you provided solutions to some difficult problems?
• If all answers are “yes”, then start preparations for your
manuscript
11. Decide on the type of the manuscript
– Full articles/Original articles: the most important papers. Often
substantial completed pieces of research that are of significance.
– Letters/Rapid Communications/Short communications: quick and
early communication of significant and original advances. Much
shorter than full articles (usually strictly limited).
– Review papers/perspectives: summarizing recent developments on a
specific topic. Highlighting important points that have previously been
reported and introduce no new information. Often submitted on
invitation.
– Self-evaluate your work. Is it sufficient for a full article? Or are your results so
thrilling that they should be shown as soon as possible?
– Ask your supervisor and your colleagues for advice on manuscript type.
Sometimes outsiders can see things more clearly than you.
How to prepare a good manuscript - 2
12. Choose the target journal
– Choose one right journal for your work. DO NOT gamble by
scattering your manuscript to many journals. Only submit once!
– Articles in your references will likely lead you to the right journal.
– Read recent publications (at least go through the abstracts) in
each candidate journal. Find out the hot topics, the accepted types
of articles, etc.
– Ask yourself the following questions:
• Is the journal peer-reviewed?
• Who is this journal’s audience?
• How long will it take to see your article in print?
• Is this a prestigious journal?
How to prepare a good manuscript - 3
13. Read the ‘Guide for Authors’.
– Apply the Guide for Authors to your manuscript, even to the first
draft (text layout, paper citation, nomenclature, figures and table,
etc ). It will save your time, and the editor’s.
– All editors hate wasting time on poorly prepared manuscripts.
They may well think that the author shows no respect.
How to prepare a good manuscript - 4
14. Important to remember
• Submit to the right journal (scope and prestige)
• Submit to one journal only
• Check the English
• Pay attention to structure
• Pay attention to journal requirements
• Be honest
15. Some special technical aspects of the
manuscript
Length of the manuscript:
• 25- 30 pages is the ideal length for a submitted
manuscript, including ESSENTIAL data only.
Title page
Abstract 1 paragraph
Introduction 1.5-2 pages
Methods 2-4 pages
Results and Discussion 10-12 pages
Conclusions 1-2 pages
Figures 6-8
Tables 1-3
References 20-50 papers
• Letters or short communications have a stricter
limitation of the length. For example, 3000 words with
no more than 5 illustrations.
16. How to prepare a good manuscript –
Overview
The general structure of a full article
• Title
• Abstract
• Keywords
• Main text (IMRAD)
– Introduction
– Methods
– Results
– And
– Discussions
• Conclusion
• Acknowledgement
• References
• Supplementary materials
Make them easy for indexing and searching! (informative,
attractive, effective)
Journal space is precious. Make your article as brief as
possible. If clarity can be achieved in n words, never
use n+1
17. Frustrations of an Editor
• Publish or submit the same paper twice
• Cutting up your work in many short publications.
• Sloppy manuscripts (e.g. many typing errors).
• No clear statement of what changes has been made in
revised manuscript.
• Without arguments not following recommendations for
revision.
• Selective referencing
18. Summing up
• Before you start:
– Think about why you want to publish your work
– Decide on the type of manuscript
– Choose the target journal
– Read the Guide for Authors of the target journal

28. Publishing with Emerald
"I like publishing with Emerald
because it allows for a diversity
of views. Such diversity is
required, in my opinion, for the
continued progress of society."
Clem Tisdell, University of
Queensland, Australia
1. We believe that business research should be applied to the business world, and that it must
communicate to managers in organizations. Emerald actively encourages applied research,
case description and qualitative discussion and analysis, as well as quantitatively based
papers.
2. We believe in the value of authors from a wide range of nationalities, cultures and contexts.
Although we only currently publish in the English language we encourage contributions from
around the world.
3. We believe in our authors. We offer them pragmatic, realistic and forward-looking attitudes
on copyright. We provide, in the Emerald Literati Network, what we think is a unique service.
