Within 2-4 weeks of HIV infections
• Fever
• Sore throat
• Fatigue
• Headache
• Diarrhea
• Aching muscles
AIDS
• AIDS stands for acquired
immunodeficiency
syndrome.
• AIDS is the final stage of
HIV.
• AIDS occurs when the
immune system is
damaged.
Symptoms of AIDS
• Unexplained weight loss
• Night sweats
• Swelling of the lymph glands
• Weeks of diarrhea
• Sores
KAPOSI'S SARCOMA
• KS is a cancer that causes
lesions in the soft tissues
• Causes patches of abnormal
tissue to grow under the skin
• Cancer can spread to the
digestive or lungs.
• It often affects people with
HIV or AIDS.
• Treatment may be radiation,
chemo, or surgery, if needed.

• Lumps
• Swelling
• Shortness of breath
• Swollen lymph nodes
