This document discusses operational modeling of sustainable gas supply chains. It examines the cost of decentralized biogas production and centralized upgrading and injection into the natural gas grid. It finds economies of scale for centralized production, with a cost of 13 €ct/Nm3. It also looks at matching variable biogas supply to seasonal gas demand. Scenarios include flexible biogas production, green gas storage, and adding a second digester. Comparing these scenarios at a 300 Nm3/hr scale, expanding the model, and increasing gas demand coverage.
