The document discusses the development of APFAS, TenneT's Auction Platform for Ancillary Services. APFAS was introduced in 2018 to offer shorter contract periods of months and weeks to help new market players and renewable energy generators. Contract periods on APFAS have continued to shorten, with daily auctions and contracts starting in 2020. APFAS aims to facilitate the ancillary services market by making more capacity available through varied contract lengths.

APFAS = Auction Platform For Ancillary Services
New market players and renewable energy generators had difficulty with the long
contract period requirement of products aFRR and mFRRda which were in the
2016 yearly and quarterly contracts. TenneT promised the market to offer a solution
with a shorter contract period. In 2018 monthly and weekly contracts were
introduced with use of the APFAS platform.
The solution is further accelerated by the ACM and due to requirements from the
Clean Energy Package and as such has led to daily auctions (at D-1) and daily
aFRR and mFRRda contracts from 1-9-2020 onwards

Poll vraag: Hoe lang zal het APFAS algoritme er over doen om tot het juiste
veilingresultaat te komen? -> Antwoord 5,2 sec.
Uitvraag:
- 1035 MW FRR opregelend (bestaat uit aFRR-up + mFRRda-up)
- 1040 MW FRR afregelend (bestaat uit aFRR-down + mFRRda-down)
Aantal aanbiedingen:
- Er wordt voor elke productrichting 16 biedformulieren ingestuurd
- In totaal ontvangen we van marktpartijen dan: 64 biedformulieren
- Elk biedformulier bevat: 100 biedingen
- Biedingen liggen oplopend tussen 5MW en 500MW (stapgrootte = 5MW)
- De biedingen hebben een prijsrange tussen 1 en 50 euro MW/h
