During 2010 NCVYS Policy Officer Dom Weinberg worked in partnership with NCVO Third Sector Foresight to conduct research into the drivers (trends and forces) that could impact on the voluntary and community youth sector over the next 5-10 years. This included an event in November. The Event Slides include details of the drivers NCVYS developed, as well as further details of the Foresight project.

ICT-integration in education: a multidimensional approach.
During the workshop we focus on the multidimensional interaction of both teacher and school characteristics in developing a richer understanding of the complex process of technology use in education. Differential types of technology use will be considered and how they are related to variables such as teacher attitudes, educational beliefs, and school policies. We provide good practices and reflect about the participants own beliefs about education related to their use of technology, the development of an ICT policy plan, etc. For researchers the focus can be on the different research methods used.
Location: University of Alcala, Madrid
In this presentation, a deals platform for Chamber Of Commerce is presented where they can offer their own deals-of-the-day and local deals. They can create and distribute their deals on all channels - social media, mobile, web, affiliates. They can compete effectively with other deal sites - Groupon, LivingSocial, etc. And more important they can put money back in mall merchants for PowDeal offers an affordable Cost Plus model.
