Móstoles is an industrial town near Madrid with over 200,000 inhabitants that has a variety of services including hospitals, a university, schools, shopping centers, theaters, museums, libraries, and public transportation. The important Art Center "Dos de Mayo" museum opened in 2008 and hosts various exhibitions throughout the year. While Móstoles was a small village in the 1960s, it has grown significantly due to rural immigration and is known for being the first town to rebel against the French Army during the Spanish Independence War in 1808.
