2. What are prepositions?
We know what are prepositions but, before we learn
French prepositions let’s recall the prepositions in
English.
Prepositions are the words which tells us that
particular object is in which position, for example-
 Alice is sitting next to you. – here the word ‘next
to’ is preposition in the sentence as it is telling the
position of the object i.e. Alice.
