2. What is a preposition?
Preposition are short words that usually stand in front of nouns. Usually,
prepositions show this location in the physical world.
The puppy is on
the floor.
The puppy is in
the trash
can. The puppy is beside
the phone.
3. Function
- It is used with a noun or pronoun to show the
relation with another word of the sentence.
this noun or pronoun which is called the object of
the preposition.
5. It divides on three groups:
-Prepositions of place or location
-Prepositions of movement
-Preposition of time
6. Prepositions of place or location:
Indicates where a is person, animal or something :
Over- a thing is higher than other one.
Under- The subject is below a thing.
Near- The subject is not together, just near.
7. Indicates the place where a person, animal or something goes.
To- Indicates that a person, animal or something, goes to one place.
Into- a person, animal or something, is inside or entering other one.
Across- a person, animal or something is crossing to another thing.

Indicates in what moment the action occurs:
On- It is used with the days
Till- It is used to indicate that an action lasts until a certain time.
In - It is used with the monts, the seasons, and with the morning,
afternoon and the night
