This document discusses precision agriculture techniques on the Northern Plains, including GPS and differential correction systems to provide sub-meter or sub-inch accuracy, in-cab computers and controllers to operate equipment, guidance and auto-steer functions, data management of field boundaries and operations, boom and section control for sprayers and planters, soil and crop analyses including yield monitoring and remote sensing, and zone management and precision application of inputs.
